Soph_ie : 10 August 2005 - 4:41pm

I see two left-wing blogs are dissapointed in keepleftnz.org's video advertisments too. They say they are "deceitful," "wrong," "grossly misrepresented" "unnecessary," "deceitful and regrettable" and that "Keepleft should be ashamed of themselves for stooping to such tactics."

Yeah I think it looks pretty crap too. I just passed the link on to four leftie friends and they reckon it makes a laughingstock of the left. Maybe if you did some more (intelligent) work on it it could be better. Yes, harsh but true.

The Sony ad?? If it's that one I'm thinking about......GAH I hate it. That song makes me change the channel everytime.

I'm not too keen on this policy, In theory it sounds good, but could get so many people into more debt. I'm managing to pay my own way (no student loan so far), and under Labour's scheme, I'm actually better to get into debt (with a student loan), and leave my money I earn sitting in the bank to get interest on it, or even invest it short term. There is no incentive to encourage me to stay loan-free.

It annoys me too how this is just another election bribe to grab votes from the students-four months ago the Labour party said that reducing the interest rate on loans would be too expensive. See here: http://xtramsn.co.nz/news/0,,11981-4607510,00.html

The Nats have just put out new calculations on what they think it will cost, which is quite different to the Labour figures. http://www.national.org.nz/Article.aspx?ArticleId=4804 Not sure how accurate it is though.

Anyone got the new Foo Fighters album yet? What are your thoughts? It came out yesterday; I'm going to get it tommorow.

The first single from it "Best Of You," is quite good.

Hmm, I might try it too. Sounds interesting.

I know, I read about that, crazy. Apparently he hit two parked cars on the way back though.

Don't do anything untill you have a good idea of what you want to do. I have friends who went to university and then after their first year were really hacked off they did, because they weren't sure of what they wanted to do anyway. Just make sure you look into what you want to do, find out lots of information, and then decide.

Soph_ie : 22 December 2004 - 2:43pm

I'm all done, it's so good. The shops are just getting so busy, I went to a Westfield mall the other day and spent like half an hour trying to find a park.

Soph_ie : 22 December 2004 - 2:42pm

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone. Hope you all have a good break (if you get one).

Soph_ie : 18 December 2004 - 2:15pm

That is so disgusting. Sadly though, I heard a similar story earlier this year.

Soph_ie : 16 December 2004 - 7:14pm

Rick Astley is on the Playstation 2 game Singstar. Haha, the video clip for"Never Gonna Give You Up" rocks.

Soph_ie : 12 December 2004 - 3:33am

Haha. I remember hearing her back in 2002, my friend had just seen a performance and had one of her CD's. I can't really express what I felt, lol.

Soph_ie : 5 December 2004 - 8:31pm

Yeah, I thought the ad was pretty stupid.

I really don't like those pop out media ad things, even though I realise they are needed for funds etc. They give me a fright sometimes, NZMusic.com is my homepage and if I open Internet Explorer and forget about it, the music or whatever the ad has playing sometimes makes me jump. Especially if my volume is right up. I changed my homepage to another page, but I switched it back because I love nzmusic.com, but I might switch it to something else again. Anyway, my ramble for the day.

Soph_ie : 24 October 2004 - 9:50pm

Feel better soon. Take care.

Soph_ie : 16 October 2004 - 3:09pm

That is so funny, thanks for posting the link.

Soph_ie : 10 October 2004 - 4:00pm

There was a bit of shocking spelling and letters left out in that post-whoops. :P

I have had accupunture lots and have found it really good. I also know alot of other people who have had it and found it good too. I have had it for pain managment (my illness gives me bad pain) and for buggered up shoulders etc. It doesn't hurt, it almost tickles a bit when the needles go in.

I have had needles in my feet, back, shoulders, arms, neck, legs etc. There are different needle combinations depending on where your problems are-for example even though you mught have back problems, needles could go in your back and legs. Accupunture is also good for nausea, stomach problems and things like that.

There is a register for accupunturists, the accupunturist I go to is an osteopath as well which is really helpful because he has had years of training in back and bone issues. I would recommend finding one in your area who has been recommended to you, otherwise just try a few untill you find one you like. The guy I go to is always absolutely booked up. What area are you in? They should always have disposable needles and all the other common sense things like that.

My brother has a shoulder that actually popped out and has had numerous doctor appointments, physio appointments etc. Eventually he went to my accupunturist and it really helped him. The shoulder can't physcially go back in without surgery to pin it back, but the accupunture helped him alot with his pain etc.

When you go they will recommend a course of treatment-like some things are a once off, others may take a few sessions. For ongoing medical problems such as an illness you may need to go regularly but for an injury it will probablly be maybe 4-5 sessions.

I get something called bowen therapy done as well-and wow is that good. It's some sort of techniuq that "resets" the muscles in your body-it gives me heaps more movement in my limbs.

Anyway I hope my rambling helped you a bit, feel free to ask any more questions if you need too.
