yeah, i had a drummer boyfriend once, he dumped me cause i complained publicly that he hit the snare way too much...the truth hurts...Another seriously true story though, in '87 i was waddling around akl uni in a 2nd yr BA solo-pregnant and an object of curiousity on the music campus.
ok, slight problem. When u advertise on TMe you do not know the age of the person u r dealing with i.e. demographics- there's a lot of ova 40s on there...
wot i'm sensing here is that radio stations cud involve listeners in the selection process of NZOA New Recording Artists (signed or not) by (i'm running 4 cover now...)...TXT VOTING! Getting potential record buyers involved sumwhere in the shortlisting cud 4 sure make 4 a potentially scary slot but wud definitely b entertaining.
A ? or 2 4 Blakelock Records Ltd :
- do labels who sign a NRA still record despite a funding rejection?
- how many (%) signed NRAs get NZOA funding approved? (and here maybe a comparison shud b made with funding approval % for unsigned NRAs)
