360 downloads in a week.. not too shabby. :) Was hoping more locals would get into the mash-up of 2001 and the Goodnight Kiwi music, it's kinda lost on everyone else...
Voltaire?
Haha.

I figure self-promotion is the way forward since we're going all Web 2.0. :p
Really enjoying the new free EP, Distant Stations. Check out the [http://www.additiverich.com/angryrabbit/archives/002072.html release details] or go straight for the [http://www.last.fm/music/group+five/Distant+Stations downloads].
Producer Andrew Loughnan, from Wellington, currently resident in Auckland.
My buddy Andrew has put up a nice EP of kinda grungey, wonky instrumental hip-hop stuff. Pretty clear that he likes DJ Krush, free jazz, contemporary classical (well, last century, anyway). It's officially via Wellington's Angry Rabbit label, MP3s hosted by last.fm
Check out the [http://www.additiverich.com/angryrabbit/archives/002072.html release details] or go straight for the [http://www.last.fm/music/group+five/Distant+Stations downloads]. Pretty sure it'll be up on archive.org soon enough.
Psst, should be "So So Karaoke" not "So So Kareoke".
Just remember it's like "karate"...
"He's gonna wake up in a smoothie" is the greatest threat ever.
"Music itself is going to become like running water or electricity" - David Bowie, in 2002. Somewhat more balanced way to express the massive shift in view of consumable recording formats.
He also said: "You'd better be prepared for doing a lot of touring, because that's really the only unique situation that's going to be left." Bit fucked for electronic producers, eh?
There're plenty of nonsense around, but I think that's a bit different from lyrics not working in the context of a song. That Toto moment pretty much tops all comers when it comes to clunkers.
In another 80s soft rock classic, Jessie's Girl, this line suddenly comes along: "I want to tell her that I love her / But I guess the point is moot." It sneaks past easily enough, but man...
Their collected EPs don't have vocals. If you do really like the music maybe try this release: http://www.discogs.com/release/620246
Could easily listen and buy from bleep.com I guess.
Dunno, must've read it wrong. Looks to me like these are extra regulations to define an increased freedom for photographers - they'll be allowed to take photos of people not speaking and so on.
I'm pretty sure that that article says the particular freedoms it discusses are increasing.
Yep, we chatted to him about it over a ouija board one night.
