Police finally did something positive and served my tradesman ex-business partner with a tresspass notice after he admitted committing a third burglary within two months.

Some of the stolen equipment belongs to the bar while other items belong to myself, bands, private companies and patrons.

Wellington Music Week 2006

Wellington Music Week celebrates the quality and success of music in the Creative Capital. With numerous performances across the city in theatres, schools, cafes, bars, clubs, churches, radio and television covering all styles and genres there is something for everyone.

This years Music Seminar Series is aimed at growing knowledge and networking within the local music industry to increase success and employment. While there are many Wellington artists doing well nationally and internationally there is a need for practical support and mentoring for aspiring musicians.

Experts from Wellington and beyond will provide practical advice and valuable insight about developing effective ways to distribute, pay, sell and market music in New Zealand and abroad.

Wellington Music Week 2006 kicks off on Monday 20 November featuring:

* Networking events
* Showcase events

Brew NZ - From Monday 4 September
Bodega is Wellingtons first real ale bar and as you would expect we have an extra-ordinary selection of New Zealand mircrobrews for you to sample. Green Man, Three Boys, Renaissance, Tuatara, Monteith's, Emerson's and Taakawa just to name a few. Everyday from 5pm until 9pm you can sample seven beers for $20. Bookings are essential for State of the Nations beer tasting with Neil McInnes at 7.30pm on Wednesday 6 September.

Peter and The Test Tube Babies - Thursday 7 September
A punk rock band formed around Brighton in 1977and still touring today. In 1982 they covered the chart-topping Gary Glitter hit "I'm The Leader of The Gang (I Am)", on their album Pissed and Proud which got some notoriety, being called a contender for the worst cover version of all time.

Youth Group (AUS), Johs Pyke (AUS) – Friday 8 September
Their single "Forever Young" (a cover of the song by Alphaville) was used in the television show The O.C. creating wide interest in Youth Group from mainstream audiences and taking Youth Group into the charts.

Haunting Debut Album - The Haints of Dean Hall  Tonight (Thursday 27 July) When Auckland musician Stephen Reay (Subliminals) asked a visiting friend to sing over some guitar tracks he had composed, he was surprised how quickly an album was born. Released this week on Arch Hill the Haints of Dean Hall album has received great reviews and audiences.

All Blacks vs Australia - Big Screen - Saturday 29 July (10pm)
This weekends game is followed promptly on the mainstage by The Have and The Bonnie Scarlets whilst downstairs in Room 101 we have the monthly African Dance Party.

Brew NZ  from Monday 4 September. During Brew NZ we will be hosting Tuatara, Renaissance, Three Boys, Waituna, Sunshine and Green Man - a fantastic assembly of NZ microbrews.

There will be daily tasting of seven NZ micro brews for $20 including beer talk and nibbles. Book now for the State of the Nation  NZ Micro Beer Tasting on Wednesday 6 September with Neil McInnes. Tickets are $25.

Handle the Jandal 2006 - Radio Active 89FM's DIY NZ Music Video Competition

Handle the Jandal celebrates and promotes NZ music. Entry is simple. You must have made a music video for a New Zealand tune with the musician's permission and without any funding grants. Filmmakers have until August 1 to get their entry to Radio Active and win the coveted Golden Jandal.
