Hey guys I am a 19 year old drummer living in Central Auckland looking to join an existing band or maybe start up a new one with like-minded musicians.

I have been drumming for about a year and a half now, and have been playing with bands and friends since Ive started. I have played with heaps of bassist, guitarists, bands, (even other drummers& I seem to have a lot of musically-talented mates =P) but I am wanting to get more serious with my playing rather than just having a thrash with some guys every fortnight&

My influences range a lot, I like basically any type of rock, ranging from older stuff like Thin Lizzy, Metallica, Guns n Roses to new-age bands like Thrice, Thursday, punk bands, alternative stuff, Indie, Ska etc etc& so yeah I like mostly everything that fits into the rock genre.

If I were to classify my drumming it would probably be punk, taking off bands such as Pennywise, NOFX, Sum 41, Blink-182, but I like listening to heaps of different bands to improve my style, I mostly pick up from Chad Smith from the Chilis, he has an amazing sense of rhythm and knows when to play, rather than trying to do something tricky all the time. I concentrate on keeping the time and beat and then will rip into some nice fills when they are needed.

Im not really picky about genres or type, if you are a good bunch of guys who like music it would be cool just to jam with you and get a feel for it, rather than constricting myself to one type of music&
