What are you listening to.?

Jesus Robsta, I know what you mean but I was trying to cut it down to a few kiwi highlights Funny you mention Jet they turned up in a random playlist during the weekend...snapped.
Psychobilly sounds intriguing, I had to google that handle, only to realise that I had been thrashing 'th legendary shack shakers" cool.
Now the thing about Humble Pie, is that I missed them when I went through my classic dad rock phase, sure i got the whole Frampton comes alive..."do you feel like I do", but recently I heard "live at whiskey a gogo..walk on guilded spintlers" and had to ask who the fk is this? Classic.
My grunge fill has been satisfied with a Melvins /Jello Biafra - Seig Howdy. with an updated DKs "California Uber Alles hmmm I've also been playing a bit of that Virus 1000 Alternative Tentacles DK covers album from the early 90's. Oh Chris Cornell does a Billie Jean cover as well, not that I have really enjoyed any of his output since Badmotorfinger, "cos people always told me, be careful of what you do".
Other than that I've revisited other classic's i missed in the early ninetys,... FSOL & The Orb, Spiritualized, mainly prog & ambi dub freaks..oh and some folkish, new and old. Bonnie Prince Billy & Davy Graham/Nick Drake

The Nomad: Selected Works NZ Tour 2008

Lovin that "Breakin Rocks" track.

Where's all the traffic?

I liked the old look it was simple and one could navigate with little knowledge on how to get around.
I don't believe there is less interest in local music, the success of homegrown festivals etc and the popularity of local pop releases in the charts indicate, in my opinion a stable support.
The thing is, over the last few years a number of sites have sprung up, the popularity of myspace bebo etc have spread that web further a field, where I believe this site used to be a central meeting point of common interest, I for one don't frequent as often or hang out. I miss the opinion and banter of certain people that I can't seem to find anymore.
I'm looking forward to the revamp as suggested above. Usability is key.
Big ups the faithful, its always great to see your names.

High Dependency Unit

Metamathics is quite simply stunning, but when i say stunning, I mean in a way that transcends the normal focus & tears a hole in the subconscious replacing it with some warped filthy undulating warmth, time twists in a euphoric drug like fashion, whilst driving i arrived at the place, unaware of the automation that steered me. This should be illegal.

Banner ads be damned, you should buy this. seriously.
