ChCh Venue list?

I don't mean to be a bit out of line by suggesting the site I put content on but have you looked at:
http://www.thebigcity.co.nz/venuesregister

I like Alt TV

We came home last week to find that saturn/telstraclear's sky has ALT TV on it.
wee.

NZ Music - where were you in 87?

I was in primary school

Last Day Of Work Beard

one of my workmates has decided on growing a santa beard for christmas.

SHE'LL BE RIGHT RECORDS SHOWCASE TOUR

damn I'm looking forward to seeing Le Mot Cafe... I get giggly and excited every time I think about it.

Music protection

I don't know for sure they can help but i suspect http://www.apra.co.nz/ is a good place to start

nzmers you miss

Yay DJ Will...
I see megaccino and DJ Will in person quite a bit, but i do miss them on NZM....

Lyrical Lines that Just Don't Work

I'm surprised no one mentioned this:

Lou Reed- Walk on the Wild side

"But she never lost her head
Even when she was given head
She says, hey babe, take a walk on the wild side..."

I laugh every time i hear that lyric... only Lou Reed could get away with rhyming head with head.

i AM a real DJ!

I like how the offer of Will's involves me cooking!
I'm sure we could lure you down for something other than the Hit Machine Reunion shows.

The Brunettes

heh, I did just buy myself a Black Market Art t-shirt at Craftwerk... its the second one I've bought actually... but I gave away the first one.

The Steffan van Soest Hit Machine

Twas a mighty fine show. Pity about the turn out... although we did seem to find the other half of the gig going crowd of Christchurch at Foam and Cartel later...

Donatello (Wgtn) playing in Christchurch 25th/26th May!

its going to be a bloody good show... the harbourlight deal is pretty damn good.

the crap caps

he's mostly worried about what will happen to Darren Bent.

Rock legend?

Lindon Puffin=Legend

NZ Music Month Launch Party

Well it wasn't easy on eveyone since the plans changed that day because it was meant to be an outdoor show..
Black Market Art, drove all the way back to christchurch just to play the show since they were in the middle of a tour on the west coast.
I only saw a small amount of Fur Patrol, and it didn't look to me as though they were not happy to be there... I only got to see Pine from outside cause the bouncer's wouldn't let me into the tavern bar, because on one side the bouncer said it was too full inside (when there was heaps of space in front of the stage) and the other wouldn't open the other courtyard door to let anyone in by the stage).

Fighting the Shakes

.... when will you play in christchurch?

Practice Spaces in Christchurch?

A flight to blackout are looking for someone to join in sharing their practise space in Addington... go to myspace and message them

Timaru live music culture(more so the lack of it)

I've met plenty of timaru folk in my time, and they are all lovely (except one) but thats a different story.

You should come to the Caroline Bay Carnival one day... its good clean fun, and you get to play spot the teen mothers pushing their prams around while riding the ferris wheel.

worst ideas/inventions ever

they have those here in christchurch- they are annoying at traffic lights if you don't stand on them, in the central city when you stand on those yellow things at zebra crossings it makes some flashing lights go off on the road to warn cars to stop.
