If you feel like jumping on a bus (or a long walk) head to Egg Records in Newtown (its a few kms south from Central Station..)
link below is a blog by a guy who works there - i can't remember the exact address (i just happened to be exploring Sydney for a couple of days last week).
Pretty cool store, with lots and lots of vinyl (not necessarily that cheap, but worth a look if you can get out there..)..Newtown is worth a browse around anyway, lots of bookstores, second hand clothing etc...

definitely, 24 bit audio should really be commonplace already. I'd guess that the majority of digital recording is done in 24 bit (at least) now and converted down to 16 bit for CD's. Thats a pretty massive drop in quality right there....
hmm - i've had a few pretty bad ones...
worst one involved around 10000 A1 sized glossy posters, a warehouse full of empty cardboard tubes and a massive stack of individually addressed labels...took around 2 weeks for me and anther person to pack and send them all.
It's actually kinda sticky, when you think about it...legally it probably does infringe copyright, (although i don't know what exactly constitutes fair use - tabs are basically reverse engineering the song, as opposed to directly copying the sheet music (in most cases). )
As far as whether they should be strongarming tablature sites? probably not, although i'm sure similar stuff has happened before, didn't OLGA (OnLine Guitar Archive) have a number of issues with copyright lawsuits in the 90's??
yeah, it was good and i managed to get down to see casionova afterwards :)
Hopefully there will be more soon. . .
Hey Yo!

Rad.
as long as Soulseek is cranking along, i don't give a damn about iTunes.. .
Christian sexual assault : not asking her parents first.
Normal sexual assault : not asking HER first.
i hope it was the former???
What exactly does this have to do with the foreshore and seabed? are you saying that the countries oil reserves are the exclusive domain of the Maori now?
The reason an overseas consortium is exploring is because it probably isn't economically viable for New Zealand companies to do it, Maori or not. ...
yeah, that's pretty poor - it's not like its difficult to find a couple of hi-res sluts for your ads - maybe they used the thumbnails from google images instead of *CLICK*ing through. . . should take their own fucking advice....
i'd send it back and ask them to redo it. . .
Nice little history lesson if anything. . . .
I too have wondered how emo metamorphosed into the prepcore that you get on TV and in the pubs..
I suppose its just that when a new sound evolves in the underground, it gets a catchy new name after a while, but when a new sound emerges with predominantly mainstream artists, a name is stolen from somewhere else, because the documentation is done by the media, not the fans.
There is most certainly a causal link between early emo and some of tha modern 'not'emo bands, but they are a long way removed. .. but then again, new school NY 'chugga'-style hard core has more parallels with metal and hip hop than it does with older hardcore punk. ..
ultimately the proper emo kids are bitter (again), because their precious genre name has been pinched. maybe they should write a song about it...
i watched it last night for the first time (procrastination while studying)..
seems very soapy for a medical drama .. . kind of like scrubs without the jokes.. .
it's common for sports people to get a silver fern tattoo or similar if they represent new zealand...thats pretty cool - nice way to commemerate it. .
for the general populous, its a little tacky i suppose, but at least its attractive and has some meaning, better than getting a playboy bunny or some other stupid crap...
with the exception of muzic.net.nz (or whatever it is??) , most of the other sites are more specific to genres/locations/scenes.
charcoal/wood is preferable, because after you've got your sausages/chicken/whatever going, you can use the embers to cook potatoes, fish etc wrapped in tinfoil...thats where its at.
Of course, gas is less likely to get you arrested for breaching fire bans...
Christianity - **false religion**
- Follows 2000yr old teachings of minor figure in other world religions. Promotes fanatacism, fear of self and others, tries to legitimise idea of omnipresent/omnipotent god. Idol worship is encouraged, as is rampant promotion of religion and self. Potentially more dangerous than any other religious group.
wicked, sounds fun .. . nice article in the Sunday Star Times the other day as well. ..
no worries :)
