ok this is what i know and whats happening in shihad land...they are playing the Homebake festival in oz...the first time they have played in sydney since december last year...and only the second gig in oz this year...
they are also in the US finishing the recording of the album...so thats why they have been so quiet...they are possibily going to release it in january or february...and they may be playing the big day out next year as well...
that is all....here endeth the rant...
the dynamic trio...its a shame that weta had to disappear...they had soooo much potential...
but fur patrol...all i can say is WOW!!! i saw them for the first time in may this year supporting aussie band Motor Ace and they were fucking awesome...and that is all i can say about them...they totally blew me away...
and what can i say about shihad? they are the chairman of the board...they are the kings of rock and roll...and man do they rock hard...lucky people in the US and UK get to sample the new stuff before we all do...
i just saw fur patrol supporting Motor Ace in oz (i'm from australia you see)...and I must say that they were AWESOME!!! i now know why a friend of mine kept saying you HAVE to see fur patrol...and the great thing was that i met them all and got to take live pics of them during the gig...
i must say it was the best time i have ever had!!!!
AND i own a copy of pet and starlifter already!!!! and i love them to bits!!!! i am now a dedicated fan :)

well that is my friend's site and the management did get a bit pissed off at her for posting it on her site...but then again the rumours of them spliting have been at the weta club for ages (the yahoo club that is). but i wrote to the guys yesterday and sent the letter...there's no knowing if they will get it but here's hoping that they post something soon. i think that they havent announced anything because they have the australian release of geographica to contend with...
well thats what i heard as well...so i'm not too sure if the rumours are true or not...a friend of mine got an email from the manager and it said something along the lines that they are on a break at the moment and more will be revealed in the new year.
hopefully they havent broken up cos they rock...and i dont want to see a good thing come to an end....
i went to the shihad gig last night at the metro in sydney and i have to say that it went totally off...i was lucky enough to get one of tom's drumsticks and a set list as well...so i was very happy with that...me have to say that i wish that everyone could have enjoyed it...it was a beautiful thing...and they feed us...the gracious hosts taht they are...well the front of the mosh at least...free food and vodka as well courtesy of karl...

hell yeah i heard it at a gig they did in september at the UNSW Roundhouse in Sydney (mes a aussie girl). it was fuckin fantastic!!!! and it went off...cant wait until the new cd comes out!!!

found out that shihad are playing a one off gig at the metro in sydney on the 1st of december. for anyone who wants to go, tickets are $16.50 +bf and are fairly cheap considering to see filter with shihad and weta as supports it cost $40.
support acts for this gig are superheist and another act to be announced. here's hoping that it is weta again!!! gotta love those guys!!!!

wellllll...i have to be the only person here to say that shihad and weta are the hottest bands...mostly cos they are such damn cute guys in real life...trust me i know i have met them...oh and by the way jon is one hell of a skinny guy, but nonetheless the coolest and craziest rocker on stage...

weta rock...first saw them at the filter gig in sydney ( yes i am an aussie, but who cares? i love me NZ music!!!) and they blew me away...as did shihad, but that is another story for another day.

i have no idea who trinity are, but i defintiely know who the fuck weta are. it might be cos i live in oz, but love my NZ music turned up LOUD.
anyway, i got my copy of weta's geographica sent over to me from a friend in NZ, and all i have to say is that it fuckin rocks!!! it is one hell of an album from one hell of a band...and they are even better live!!! and the great thing is that they are actually really nice guys. i got to meet them and shihad at a gig on shihad's pacifier tour of oz. they are all fantastic guys, a little crazy, but really nice guys.
i agree with wanting them to release a live album!!!! i missed out on an oz release of a shihad bootleg that came out with the general electric (damn) so i really want a live album from shihad or weta...either way i will be happy...
