New Falsh- There is no christian music!!!
Music is music, lyrics are the thing that make the difference.
Oh and seeing God created us and the world, he is the ultimate creator of music, and he likes all types of music. How do I know? I asked him.
And I have to make this point again, there are plenty of crap three cord bands that aren't xian, and plenty of crap as lyrics by non-xians. So shouldn't the poll be if a band if crap and have crap lyrics would it make me listen to them more or less?
It makes me mad when xians get hassled for making music about what the believe (Truth) when you guys think its so cool when evil band rant about how evil they are, I mean if they can be outwardly Satanic why can't xians be outwardly xian.
And i don't believe the 20/20 artical implied that all non-xian artist are self-destructive. But in saying that how many truely xian artist die over OD's and waste all there money. (In attempt to come off really cheesy.) Not Many, If any, I don't know anybody
Money is only bad when its the focus of making art. If you genuinely want to make music for people to take home and you aren't a millionaire already you have to pay for it somehow. All art is sold at some point, paintings, sculpture, music, photos and acting is an art form and it draws far more money than all the other art forms.
It think there is something inherently wrong with groups that art first and foremost bought together to make money not music. Especially when they stray from their ideals in making music that will sell.
Well in my opinion, if one region is run crap then the whole is crap. Christchurch is very poorly run, therefore this reflects on the whole comp. You're only as strong as the weakest link, and Christchurch you are the weakest link. Well atleast I truely hope so, hard to imagine anything else being worse.
Maybe we'll have to come to Auckland to compete to get a decent comp, I certainly don't think we are paying for $50 worth of organisation in Chch.

Oh and i forgot to ask one question, since when did smashing the crap out of each in front of a stage have anything to do with music? WHat are you trying to prove? That you tougher and more hardout than the next guy?

Right what I really wanted to say. There are far more non-xians bands in NZ that blow and have no soul. Percentage wise its probably the same. So why not dig at non-xians band that just copy succesfully bands angles. You know, sing about how drunk iwas, how many chicks I scored, putting in pointless swear words cos I cant write original lyrics. Xians do it, non-xians do it, lets jst agree that there plenty of crap lyrics and crap music.
And for those of you that feel uneasy around Christians its cos the the Holy Spirit, not the drunk spirits, is with them and you start feel it and your scared and lonely.
I would go on and on. But the thought of the ridiculous comments makes me gag just a little bit more than the xians 'moshing' at church
Apart from putting on a show for your dedicated fans I wouldn't bother. The heats and semi etc have the most pathetic organisation I've ever seen. And the fact the judges are of all similar interests, mostly metal and start drinking soon as they turn up, and are pissed by the end of the evening, which from my experiences runs atleast two hours behind schedule. Just show the actually professinalism of the event.
I know Intergalactic have high hope but if it run like this overseas, NZ will be laughed off the map. I think a better move would to be trying to run a professionally run event here NZ before exposing all our weaknesses overseas.
If bands don't turn up at the right time then they shouldn't play. The only bands that get newhere are ones the act professionally and are committed. This is essential in any industry, and is the same in the music industry.
Don't call me negative, I would call it realistic.
Behringers answer the POD Pro XT and believe me it does answer the question. Can better gear be produced for half the price. I've the Pro unit as I imported two at the same time, Plus another Foot controller. So you can get the whole setup. It brand new and ready to go. will sell for $750 for both. Normally would be $1100 but they dont even import the Pro into NZ.

Thanks for the break down. Just thought I might share we got our cd pressed at Disk-edits.com.au full colour 20 page booklet for about 2.80 landed in NZ. We had to pay a little extra cos of time restraints but still very cheap. i recomend them.
I can tell you all from experience that bedfords are the cheap to keep on the road. And to be honest you'll fit more gear in a hi-ace van. But anyway we love our bedford, thought you might want to take a look at our sweet as Beddy. Buy the way the engine alone is worth $4500, diesel mind you.
It's tru the seism etc.. are something we are born into our family and culture develop those things when we are still young. But, there is no way that, that is an excuse for any of them. People change, the power of choice is by far greater than anything else we have. We can choice not to be sexist we can choose not to be racist. Just because you have a certain tendancy doesn't mean you have to live that way. People born during the World war, that were taught to hate Gemans don't have to hate Germans now. You choice whether to be exprexx those feeling and the more you do the more you'll become like that.
e.g. The Fab Five have become more steriotypically gay since the start of there show. And that is because they have allowed themselves (by choice) to act more and more gay. This is an example don't start talking about homosexuality.
