I got to say john is the man, Blood sugar is my alltime fav album. The last two albums lack the fire but the songwriting is a massive step up. The old men calls are bullshit, everybody should check out OFF THE MAP! Its got everything, primo songs massive solos fat sound and a ton of energy.
Having said that the new Janes Addiction album is the best thing Ive heard for years
I think it comes down to chemestry more than skills to make something truly good and everybody is back where they should be to do their thing and be there best.
I heard dave turned down us$1,000,000 from Guns n Roses to go play for the peppers!
The Maestro is still in hospital, He had surgery on Monday and is now recovering so he should be in for a few more weeks. He is on the mend though finaly so things are starting to look up for the poor guy.
Sad to say Maestro is back in the hospital.
Hes improving by the day though and he should be out soon.
So everybody should write something nice for him or give him a visit ( ward 16 room 4 ) or send him some love however you can.
What can I say, thankyou to everybody that came on Friday, It was probably the nicest gig I have ever played, we all felt your love and support.
Its so sad to see the end after the years we spent together making music together. I love my band so much and I am so proud of everybody in it, we've all shared the good times and bad times and come through the whole thing with more love than ever, Im proud to be part of that.
Thanks for all the patience, respect and trust everybody has given me over the years.

I get what you mean, I first saw orkid in 97-98 maybe, at the element, gibby had a dress on and I didn't think much of it but now they are my favourite chch band and they inspire me and my music all the time.
Its been a CRAZY couple of weeks indeed with many a shock, revalation and surprise.
Unfortunately our manager has left, we had different ideas for the future and allthough we had confidence and faith in her plans for us we just had to go with our own vision and do things the Cooltones way. Cheers for all the good times and all the hard work Stacey, it is all very much appreciated.
The Maestro is back and we are practicing again!!!
We've got a few gigs on the way but they might be the last few for a while, ( I'm not sure how much I should be saying right now) Then we will leave it up to fate I guess??? So please try and make it, it would be lovely to see all the crew again.
And yes the E.P is under construction, It is already ahead of schedule but it wont be out till we are %100 percent happy. We are all very excited about it though.
So far it looks like at least 7 songs but nothing is final. Its a mix of old and new stuff, maybe even a never before heard track if we can get it sorted out.

The gig on the 10th of april has been cancelled be cause the maestro is in hospital.
They wont diagnose him till the tests are back at the end of the week.
I saw him yesterday and he was pretty cool about everything (could be the morphine), but its to soon to know when hell be back doin his thing.
So everybody should give him some positive thoughts and if you want post a get well that would be nice cause he will probably read this soon.

I know hardly any bands in the music scene anymore so its getting hard to put wicked gigs together, if you know anybody that would be cool let me know or better yet get them to post or get in touch, we need more bands on the scene!!!

How did we come together, long story. (damn we need a bio!) The short of it is Marc and Mailee were in a metal band together but the both left, then they decided they liked playing together and wanted a new band. They got me on guitar cause I was Marcs childhood buddy and we used the drummer I was starting sumpin with. Since then we have gone through two drummers and we now have Mike on drums and we have never been happier, the end.
(simplistic and boring i know, oneday we will get a good bio)
Oh yeah Klunk was cool, jem will have to tell you what theyre up to know.
