im not sure how much the dubsters gig is...im GUESSING it will be about 15...20 dollars at the most...considering its normally free to see bands @ the dux....I don't know what else is going on in Chch as of yet...probably something in the square with some semi-known band....I am also too poor to go to Alpine unity...:( but I will keep you posted with any info I come across about whats goin down in chch :)

Here in christchurch I know Salmonella Dub are playing with Fat Freddies Drop and Dubwize sound system (both of da last 2 are also playing @ alpine unity)
they played a 2 song encore here then the guitared mucked around with the distortion pad while the drummer went nuts .... it was fucken crazy ....yeah soul to squeeze and My Friends would have been cool....also Fire......best songs like = by they way, suck my kiss, and give it away ... scar tissue and parallel universe were also cool. Did they play ANYTHING off One Hot Minute at all????
i don't care how many people are up their either...im normally the first person to jump around like a blithering idiot...its good fun...but the thing is im not exactly a small lad (tall and bulky not a fat ass lol) so sometimes im scared im gonna crush some or hit them or something if i was littler i was go nuts all the nut...it normally takes one person to set a whole crowd off though
Ive been to a few gigs recently with 90 % of the crowd standing completley still (not dancing AT ALL let alone moving) including the red hot chillies concert here in chch (of which the crowd was fucking shit 16,000 people there and only about 10 rows moshing not including the people in the chillie bin) why do these people not mosh well maybe they don't have to mosh but at least dance or even MOVE!!!! maybe its cause their not drunk and they have to drink to have fun (which is pretty sad) or maybe they just like standing and taking in the music? whatever the answer is im confused???? someone help me here?
yeah its all good if u can handle the pit i think most people just get pissed off with the stupid lil bitchs who claw u and complain about pushing...if u don't like pushing, jumping or moshing get out of the mosh pit...i know u want to see the band and/or want them to see you lookin all skanky but majority rules and everyone else it there to jump around like a blithering idiot, get sweaty and have fun...whats wrong with that ? :D
i agree about the meat-heads protecting their GF's ... this happened to us @ the under the influence gig in Christchurch during Betchadupa's set some &^#!@ kept elbowing us in the head so about 10 of us kept moshing as hard as we could into him and trying to seperate him and his GF and elbowing him in the back of the head (as he was doing it to our faces) it was good fun :)
dude....if you don't like a band just don't listen to them or support them but don't go around bitchin like a lil whiney bitch...they're just doing their thing and doing a hell of alot better then you are so I say props to them and hey! at least their not making pop music....this post in not based on my opinion of Blindspott or their music either...peace

Actually it was in Christchurch (the place where i live :)) and it was freestyle motorcross with some fire eaters and shit...Summerset were sposed to be playing too but the council shut it down due to noise control 3/4 through 8 foot sativas set...:( but they still played 8 foot sativa even though i think they werent sposed too...and i got to get up and mosh around the stage with the band which was pretty cool...after which i stage dived and luckly got caught! SATIVA ROCKS!

I think that pop artist do need to be more responsible and look @ their demographic....12 - 16 y/o girls mostly.....and their singing songs like "SEXXXXXYYY EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU SO SEXXXXXY" and that skanky ass ho Christina with her song "dirty" and we wonder why almost all 15 year old gurls are &^@!s...most pop music is written to be popular not to be good which also makes it suck balls....writing music PURELY to make money is kinda like selling your sole to santa (sorry im dyslexic)
