tclak; admittedly a great solo or individual talent doesnt make a song, its more how it ties in with the rest of the music that makes it mean and yes you dont need to be a crazyily good guitarist to do so, but it helps and can make real good listening.
women are not good musicians when compared to men, its true, and the fact that there are famous women musicians doesnt mean a thing, nickleback is a household name so there is really no credability in being a known musician these days. also, when is the last time you heard that phraise 'that chick in *insert band name here* just pulled a solo to rival dimebag' the truth is no female ever has, or is close to that level. admittedly women can make good rhythm guitarists or bassists but thats about it.
