i was flipping through my music collection and only spotted 2 albums that had female singers, and most of the music i have is hard rock so i'm thinking males can kinda put more angst into their voice (not a generalisation :) which i think people like to hear in that type of music. From a players point of view, so long as everyone gets along and rocks out with the music you're playing, then it's not even an issue i guess.

just wondering what peoples opinions are on the advantages/disadvantages of having a female singer (frontperson) as opposed to male singer

i brought their album (Three) 18 months or so ago in Sydney. They kinda jam out on alot of the songs, even got an instrumental thrown in. they're big on protesting the mining and deforestation etc along the same lines as Midnight Oil i guess, but yeah definately bluesy- he plays alot of slide geetar on the album. they've also got an EP before Three...anyway i hope they cross the ditch sometime soon 'cause they're bloody good!
