chris has left the band and oscar is the new drummer. i don't know about charlie - i hope that he hasn't left - i thought they have sounded a lot better since he has been in the band plus hes a top bloke.
An update of some sort from the band or anyone in the know would be appreciated

for tips for three acts they thought were capable of reaching the top in their chosen genre, either in terms of sales or critical acclaim.

The BBC asked people in the music industy for tips for three acts they thought were capable of reaching the top in their chosen genre, either in terms of sales or critical acclaim.
This poll has been pretty good prediciting bands/artisits for the last couple of years.
Any other band out there that anyone thinks should be on this list?
i can think of a couple:
The Futureheads
The Radio Dept
The Zutons

1. The Futureheads - Decent Days and Nights
2. The Futureheads - Hounds of Love
3. Kings of Convenience - Misread
4. Wilco - Theologians
5. TV on the Radio - New Health Rock
The Futureheads are bloody awesome!! check them out, a band to look out for for 2005. their self-titled debut album was the 5th best album of 2004 according to NME

just to let you know that butler was not considered for selection due to a back injury - he wasn't dropped.
Bracewell said that they see him as a dynamic sort of player - one who can turn matches. muich the same as Dion Nash. I hope it all goes well for him. i guess hes just another good reason why we should all be going to the world 11 cricket matches

the best site for tee-shirt, i think, is djtees.com this is a UK site and it will prob cost more to get them sent over (but you could prob just copy the images you like and print your own tees) its a pretty good site with a shit load of different bands/singers etc and there are even a couple of ramones tee-shirts for you.
I hope this is what you were looking for
I like the your screen name - am looking forward to getting a babyshambles CD sometime soon. i am really enjoying the song Killamangiro.

yeah i had a wee typo, its should've read 5/12/2005.

petelisch : 10 December 2004 - 5:24pm

i doubt that very much - they are only playing stadiums on their world tour.
Also though i heard and have read on a lot of websites that Snow Patrol and Scissor Sisters are the support acts!! pretty bloody good support acts. If they aren't playing in NZ it would well be worth going over to Aussie to catch that show

petelisch : 10 December 2004 - 5:09pm

Does anyone know if U2 are soming to NZ as part of their world tour? i heard a whisper of 5/13/2005 at jade stadium chch. anyone heard this or anything similar??

petelisch : 9 December 2004 - 12:52am

Was just listening to the rock, and they were saying that scribe was in jail last night after he punched and knocked out a radio announcers teeth (they said on the radio that the radio announcer was winding scribe up and he snapped and punched him), wtf? Anyone heard or knows of any concrete evidence for this? Or is this just BS?

petelisch : 9 December 2004 - 12:30am

this really saddens me, will def have to go to the roots festival now

petelisch : 8 December 2004 - 6:42pm

hell no, i'm just home for the hols

petelisch : 7 December 2004 - 8:27pm

ditto - apart from i'm from ashburton. theres only about four acts i'd actually want to see (the hives, chemical brothers, beastie boys and the streets,) anything i want to see i.e. all the NZ bands i'm sure i'll be able to see next year sometime. i was hoping for a band like the libertines, interpol, TV on the Radio, the veils, the ordinary boys....but i guess i'lll have to wait till next year - hopefully

petelisch : 6 December 2004 - 8:01pm

petelisch : 4 December 2004 - 2:31pm

if thats the case then what happens to your mp3 files after the battery has died, can you resue the ipod (ie can you buy replaceable batteries?)

petelisch : 1 December 2004 - 7:14pm

i heard that an i-pod only has a battery life of two years, is this true or only a rumour?

petelisch : 13 November 2004 - 7:34pm

I was flicking through this the other day and saw that the single "It's too late" is number 16 on the aussie singles chart
