haha if you were to sing in a 100% pure NZ accent it would sound totally stupid... and as for the 3rd post claiming that The datsuns, D4 and shihad sing in Nz accents.. Thats totall 100% horseshit... How can you say that the chorus of harmonic generator is in a new zealand accent.. and shihad certainly dont sing in a pure new zealand accent. Yes you do hear a few NZish sounding words but majority of it is americanised. Its just SOO common do do it that it goes un-noticeable. The closest band i have heard to do it is elemeno P but even they still say some words americany. Listen to any band and you will heard it... lets just face the facts, stop our bitching about " Cultural identity " and just deal with the fact that Its the way its got to be... If there was a band out there singing in a pure nz accent they would never make it past a rockquest heat cause they would sound so shit.. IN fact if i heard that there was a band like that around, I would sink a dozen beers and get some popcorn and get front row seats and call it a comedy fest... Singers these days... The rockquest fucked up my whole band for a about 3 years....
when i was about 13 and thought my band was the shit... the dickhead judge told us our reason for not gettin through was cause we were 2 repetitive...
For the next 3 years we were scared to repeat a chorus or a verse more then once... and started playing songs layed out like tool songs just without the talent, beats, vocals or riffs to make it ear friendly
couldn't he of just said that were crap and dont sound like coldplay?

I think bands like 8 foot sativa should get an award... because they play un commercial un mainstream music and yet have whipped the country into a frenzy with their talent, (and had an album at about number 5 or 6 doing it)...

Regarding you have a audio program like cubase.... Get 2 programs.. Fruityloops and soundforge.....
Record a few sound files of all your drums (Muck around for hours to get a good sound so u only have to do it once)
Then open them in sound forge and cut the wav file so there is no time gap before the start of the Kick or snare.. do this to all the sound files..
Then arrange them in fruity loops and export to cubase....
The only problem is it takes time and effort to do a good drum track but it sounds awesome...
If your worryied about paying for these programs DONT - Cause i paid for them all legitimatly and i didn't download them all of the internet with ease
