I am moving out of home and going flatting...

At the moment i'm finding the thought rather emotional.

Anyone have any stories, or tips to make the move as easy as possible?

Thanks!! :)

The $69 tickets were shit seats way down the back, from what i've been told!

The $130 i paid was worth every cent. Second row middle, right in front of Brian's keyboard. Having such a brilliant view and being in eye-contact distance really made it such a special evening!
I loved every second of it, he played great songs and there was even parts that were even emotional! Fuckin brilliant show. :)

It's a brilliant album but i miss the feel of the band....although it was Brian who was the genius behind them, i can't help but feel that on his own (recreating the album) that it's missing that little something. Absolutely love Pet Sounds! I'm sure Smile will grow on me... i've been listening to it all night.

Tiffany : 4 October 2004 - 11:49pm

I absolutely loved the show at the Kings Arms. As a huge Wings fan, the four "Sir Paul McCartney"s were absoultely brilliant! It was one of my favourite gigs i've ever been to! :D

oh fuck you. I didn't come on here to be a tightarse but some things are just plain shit. I'm not in mourning. I started a thread to say the Johnny died. Because i bothered, i get a ton of shit for it. So excuse me for thinking it's sad when someone dies of cancer.

Tiffany : 23 September 2004 - 11:45pm

You don't have to like the Ramones. I set this thread up for people who like the Ramones to comment out of respect. You really don't have to comment if you don't like them. I NEVER randomly start hassling people on here because of their music tastes, and i don't see why you guys feel you can. Just let people get on with their own thing and listen to what they like.
I listen to all sorts of music so don't try and tell me that i can't listen to the Ramones because i also listen to say, the Feelers. I don't know why you bother replying to threads about a death if you don't like them. Leave these threads to people who actually have something decent and respectful to say. Leave your crap for another topic.

Tiffany : 23 September 2004 - 11:40pm

p.s: i don't listen to Zed, ever. Rubicon have split up and you can jst shut the fuck up.

Tiffany : 23 September 2004 - 11:38pm

Well they made good songs didn't they?! Sure they may not have been the most talented musicians but at least they did it. There wouldn't have been bands like the Sex Pistols if there were no Ramones. Sid Vicious was so in awe of the Ramones he followed around Dee Dee all the time with his jaw open. Johnny Rotten was worried about meeting the Ramones when they went to London, in case they didn't him and would beat him up. A lot of bands were inspired to get together and play music. The Ramones attitude and the fact that they knew they weren't great players but they didn't give a shit and just did it anyway, gave a lot of ppl the belief that anyone could make music.
And yeah, i love their music.

Tiffany : 17 September 2004 - 9:02pm

Dee Dee had been clean for a while, so it was apparently a real shock when he died of a herion overdose. And yeah, it is sad that Johnny died. Love him or hate him, a 5 year battle with prostate cancer is pretty fucking huge. Marky Ramone said himself, that Johnny seemed to be fighting it well and getting a bit better, so when i came home from work and had my mum tell me that he died, i was really devastated.
I may not have been around when the band had started but during the last few years, the Ramones and their music have really made an impact on me. And i respect them completely.
Sorry for getting all defensive and possibly bitchy? but this was one of the founding members (not to mention a huge influence on the sound and image that we know) of a band that i LOVE and he just died so i'm still gutted. I also found Joey and Dee Dee's death to be a huge loss to music so excuse me if i get shitty coz a couple of you start making insensitive remarks about how hilarious it is that Dee Dee Ramone died from an O.D

Tiffany : 17 September 2004 - 8:54pm

oh yay. lets all make fun of a dead Ramone.

Tiffany : 16 September 2004 - 2:57am

meaning?

Tiffany : 16 September 2004 - 12:08am

We'll miss you Johnny! :(

(taken from the Ramones official website:)

Johnny Ramone, co-founder and lead guitarist of seminal 70’s punk rock band The Ramones, died in his sleep this afternoon at 3:03 pm in his home in Los Angeles. Ramone had been fighting an ongoing five year battle with prostate cancer. At the time of his death, Ramone was surrounded by friends and family that included his wife Linda Cummings, Eddie and Jill McCormack, Rob and Sherrie Zombie, John Frusciante and Robert Carmine. Additional friends who gathered at the home included Lisa Marie Presley and Michael Lockwood, Pete Yorn, Vincent Gallo, Steve Jones, Talia Shire, Gia Coppola and Jackie Getty. Johnny Ramone, whose real name was Johnny Cummings, co-founded The Ramones in 1974 along with fellow bandmates Joey Ramone, DeeDee Ramone and Tommy Ramone, the only surviving member of the original band. The band, which gained critical acclaim and a huge following in New York’s underground music scene at the time performing at clubs such as CBGB’s, is widely credited for bringing the “punk rock” genre to the forefront. The Ramones were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002. Johnny Ramone is survived by his wife Linda Cummings and his mother Estelle Cummings. His body will be cremated during a private ceremony.

I just saw the video for Fiji Baby tonight, it's great! I just love the simplicity and it was a really pleasant concept to go along with a beautiful song. :) lovely.

Tiffany : 31 August 2004 - 12:11am

I'm not an expert but i don't think insulting/abusing the regulars here is the right way to go about it.

Good luck with your band btw.

Tiffany : 30 August 2004 - 12:20am

I know it is hun, but just think, you'll meet someone better and treat u right! U deserve respect girl!
Let him see you're better off without him (even if it doesn't feel like it) and see how he feels about that! so HA! .. :D

Tiffany : 27 August 2004 - 2:15am

don't let him see he has such an effect on you! Grieve quietly...it will only make him feel like the man if he sees, "wow this girl really can't get over me, i must be great"...boys suck, don't give in to them!
