I'm not a advocate of sex and music, so any female singer who is good, the likes of Bic, Anika, Brooke and other female musicians i see as 'beautiful girls' not so much 'hot' hot girls are usually those like 'deep obsession' and talentless 'pop' singers of others songs, you know the ones who's videos have single shots of body parts, what's the point of a screen full of cleavage or booty other than to stimulate with a chicks hotness.

My point is this we have some beautiful female performers and artists in new zealand and a few hot chicks singing and dancing, one group tugs at your heart like Brooke and Bic the other tugs, well you now where they tug.

Sven69 : 2 August 2004 - 6:42am

My Stupid Little Life,

I woke at bout 12am on monday morning, decided to download some music, yeah fuck the corporation, got a few flaming lips tracks, great stuff to get chalked to (don't wory i'll buy the albums just to poor at the moment) downd the beautiful little song Arithmatic by Brooky (probly wont buy the album even though her music blows me away, could do, i don't buy alot of female music, u know cause it usally sucks)

Downd a few more "Bill Hicks" tracks and videos, this guy was a revolutionary, if you are into truths and against the corporation and evil goverments in the world you'll like his shit, some of the best comedy i've heard.

Ripped into my geetars, busted out some Dave Matthews Band, LiVE, Radiohead, Beratles Cat Stevens, and Of course Zeppelin learned 'Black dog' for the first time and finally got the hang of 'crash into me' busted out some hooks and riffs i've been working on a few new rythm parts and some melodys, only have a few solo's in the make.

Pretty much did that until the wee hours watching a bit of juice and j2, how bout that song 'Float On' by modest mouse, cool fucken video man great style and all out weirdness, good little track too.

Went to bed bout 2pm and woke bout an hour ago, decided to share my day with well, myself.

Sven69 : 31 July 2004 - 8:30am

First Riff , Silent Lucidity - Queensrhyce (Geetar)

You know how it goes the beautiful little track it is

Standard Bust out riff, Bring it on home - Led Zeppelin (Geetar)

If you know the riff im talkin about you are officially kool, if not you should get this song It's fucken crackerjack! it's a variation of the E open chord, and it's partly stolen by Tenacious D for Tribute on the Am Chord.

Sven69 : 26 January 2004 - 4:28am

THE STROKES - It's interseting the kind and number of people who don't get this kind of music, the messy rawness of it that's put together with beautiful structure and the hidden melodies that flow under the surface of the songs, the songs are rock n' roll by that i mean beat, melody and edge. Easily the best Act for Sven, the songs were great to hear live the solo's were magic and the antics and general vibe was pure strokes.

FLAMING LIPS - I think it's evident that these guy put on the most joyous event in history of BDO! the word round the campfire seems to be very very similar that they entertained and basically made you feel good.

Sven69 : 26 January 2004 - 4:12am

I was fulled with untamed jOY at flaming lips, that's how you put on a show huh?

Sven69 : 26 January 2004 - 4:09am

I was at betchadupa, and those screaming girls were right next to me, i was the short ass with no shirt on. That was Sven

Sven69 : 26 January 2004 - 4:06am

BDO Huh, just when the fuss dies down Sven puts in his 2cents,

Sven Saw;

DEJA VOODOO - we are deja voodoo is a brilliant song you can't deny it, brilliance
- i was on the left side of the stage right in front of the amps on the rail good view can't say it was too full. Little Jane Yee was standing right next to me too pretty funny to see her.

THE DARKNESS, D4, BLACK EYED PEAS - Just hanging out at the back of the front, Darkness yeah not to bad, d4, fucken good, i had to listen to idiots with small musical tastes bag on them while trying to get a good view for the peas, well the chicks hot you know. I got pretty close to the front of the stage bout three back left middle but being as small guy i got nailed and pissed of after the first song.

KINGS OF LEON - the green and essential stage is a cool place to hang the vibe is really good and there's room to sit around, like most people i saw waiting to get signatures at the tent and thoe on the left side of the green by the speakers my ear drums were getting completly fucked up by the lost prophets whilst i waited on the rail for the Kings to start, Again Sven found himself next to the delightful Jane she was standing one person away from him on the rail, Jane, Short guy wearing little yellow Dave Matthews Band T Shirt with a cowboy on it, i cudda been shirtless tho. for anyone else who might recognise that description that was sven. So the king were good anyone watching knows that CALIFORNIA WAITING is a complete stunner, the performance was first rate man i love when a band can put it together and the vocal were effortlessly on time.

THE DATSUNS - Sven missed the Warhols but it didn't really matter as i got to see the lead singer guy, (fuck knows his name) trying to score some random chick with the Darkness lead guy, the day before at the crowne plaza, anyone staying there as sven did wudda seen bands such as kings of leon, darkness, dandy warhols, the datsuns, mars volta and the almighty metallica guesting there, hanging in the lobby and so on and so forth. watching the datsuns sven had a revelation or a moment of clarity, we have a band in new zealand from our shoere that is "world class" i mean these guys are on another level i mean they are working with jonesy from another of the worls best bands, seriously i love this band it's style and music, svens seen them now 4 times i think, fantastic.

THE STROKES - After the datsuns i slyly made my way to the front rail where the strokes wud play i wedged my self between two chicks and slyly eased my was into the rail progressively as i claimed a spot on the right of the stage near the speakers again. I didn't know who was playing on the other stage but as i listened i could'nt help but be impressed by the instresting structure and sounds of MUSE, naturally i knew bout 4 songs towards the end of the set but the e3ntire set was pretty amazing even if i watched it from the big screen and it was fucken loud next to ther speaker. THE STROKES by far for sven anyway, the best show of the night, with the strokes every song is excellent, every song is catchy makes u wanna move and sing, casablancas was entertaining and funny he delivered the songs brilliantly and hearing the songs live with the added flare and volumne was magic, for those who know the strokes music it was electric, sven happily danced around and sang every word of every song and was a little disapointed to see no one around knew the words, the crowd around me was mostly horny love struckyoung girls screaming out to julian, i think bout 6 ot 7 girls passed out and had to have medical attention.

METALLICA - Ok here4's were Sven might lose some face but i am proud of my descision, Sven saw the first song of metalica, he saw them in the flesh the what did he do well he wen't and supported and great underated kiwi band BETCHADUPA, the dupa rocked and i was proud to support them and let my support be heard theypulled of a fgreat show and numbers grew as they played t o a dece3nt crowd considering metalica were playing.

THE FLAMMING LIPS - ok how do end the big day out perfectly? you let the flaming lips play. One of the best times i've ever had, so enertaining anyone will tell you they set such a great mood and scene you couldn't help but feel alive and joyfull! Brilliance pure brilliance, again i was proud to be there from start to finish and ihad great view from the middle up the front, they ended on a perfect song, do you realise and the crowd didn't want to leave fantastic.

SoBDO 2004 was a great time for Sven it was all about music bringing people together to share life, good things, maybee the best of things.

GE Is A Huge Issue!

Today In The World Of Fast Foods, And Global Conspiracy based on the almighty dollar, Ignorance breeds people who consume poisons unaware what it does to them in the long run. It's just so blaringly obvious that as natural creature what is best for us is natural foods such as fruit and vege. Fruit and veg is made perfectly for our needs and to mess with one of the few foods that is naturally beneficial and crucial to our health is just as bad as claiming meat and dairy is good for you, oh wait they do claim that.

So as i say GE is such an important issue if people are to live healthy lives and survive from the crooks selling poison dressed as healthy just to make money.

Sven69 : 25 November 2003 - 2:06pm

Sven69 : 6 October 2003 - 9:42pm

Fuckn hell i cant stop listening to that song ,the live neil finn, johnny marr version it's a brilliant song!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sven69 : 6 October 2003 - 3:39pm

I find when i'm playing guitar, now and then i find an intersesting combination of chords and i work on those chords and incorparate maybe a hook or a few straight notes.
Usally i can take any progression or usually a loop and bust it out continously find a melody that comes from nowhere it's amazing how a melody can fit, and then words just erupt out effortlessly and the sentiment in the world naturally match the sentiment or emotion in the music, it's a natural connection of strings something chemical. To get Vocals i'l sometimes play an artists song wich inspires a feeling and using the same melody change the lyrics in the same instant of singing and the later i can use a different melody and music, those if you understood my ramblings are two way i like to make songs.

Sven69 : 6 October 2003 - 3:06pm

I guess, for what it's worth that it's all about your own personal rules and in following your own path to get where you wanta go, personally i'd rather be forgotten or never heard of than remebered for selling out or giving in. The whole Idol thing seems to be a good idea until you look at the corps behind it and what happens to the artists freedom in doing what they want to do.

Sure if you don't mind singing some one else's songs and being told what you do it's fine, hey these people are really great singers and performers but can they claim to be artists, personally sacrificing creative freedom and doing things someone elses way, even if to get in the front door, maybe is the wrong way and as i said it depends on your rules.

So would Sven go on NZ idol, Yes i would like to, for the same thrill i get from stepping up in bars and busting out some nastalgia on the kroaky (karioke) but i'd like to belive if i got far in the show i'd dump it and do my own thing.

And hey everyone likes watching the shockers on the show it's my favourite part, these people don't know it but aside from maybee embarassing themselves, they make each one of us feel that little bit better about our own vocal capabilites, and it is a treat to hear someone with a beautiful natural voice and who khows to hit notes.

Sven69 : 6 July 2003 - 1:39am

well done chew dog i was gonna pipe in with a "my dad's bigger than your dad" comment, It's kinda eerie.

Sven69 : 3 July 2003 - 2:51pm

Again, I feel bad for those ignorant few, make up your own minds don't like what your supossed to or what others like, shy from convention and have your own opinion, it makes me sad it really does, huh oh well at least it's not me, ignorance is bliss.

Oh yeah and i actually listen to music you know listen to songs from a wide variety and am honest about what i like and apreciate others music for what they bring, damn i could moan all day but what's the point im gonna listen to some death metal then some nu metal and oh then something hard.

broaden your horizions please.........listen.oh who the fuck cares?

Sven69 : 3 July 2003 - 3:50am

bjork; nice

Sven69 : 3 July 2003 - 3:43am

It's embarrising these days reading these threads, for fuck sake Metallica would be the shit and we'd be fucken lucky to see them at the BDO, even if they have gone offspring on us.

And for those who don't like John Mayer, Jack Johnson and even Dave Matthews i feel very sorry for you, why do you limit yourselfs? John, Jack and Dave Are excellent musicians all grass roots and who know and feel their music which is also honest and passionate; for those who think John Mayer gave nz shit he didn't as usual his comment were taken out of context and those who choose to believe and thus right off well they go with the crowd.

Even carly binding tho pop has got my respect; what? she can sing she can do it live and play geetar and not just easy open chords. Anyone who can do these things has my respect so she's alright by me.

And good old JT justin timberlake yeah so what he's doin ok and for sound value and dance value he's doing good.

Yeah so this is a shambles of a message but come on people stop trying to be so tuff and actually listen to music and give all forms and artist a chance, seriously listen, look and explore for fuck sake, what are we all hearing?

I love music.

Sven69 : 20 June 2003 - 4:32am

The Beatles In my Opinion Are The Greatest band Of All Time.

Those who disagree probably don't really know them or their music.......probably.

Sven69 : 17 June 2003 - 7:35pm
