Claret : 8 February 2005 - 9:28pm

What is it about good music that people take so long to cotton on? This album is so good maybe Red Light Syndrome will finally make a few sales.

Claret : 14 April 2002 - 7:01pm

shouldn't there be a na na-na na-na na after that? Or a Claret and Hollis up a tree type jingle? Then it would at least make it relevant to the site.

Claret : 11 April 2002 - 6:58pm

hilarious

Claret : 11 April 2002 - 3:03pm

Maybe there's nothing more to say.

Claret : 11 April 2002 - 3:03pm

Somehow I doubt it. But, could we be further off the topic? I've wondered if it's necessary to have a Duncan Grieve forum. I suppose he is a force to be fucked with in the music industry. But we seem to have alienated others who want nothing more than to slag him off.

Claret : 10 April 2002 - 3:49pm

Yes, Hollis. It happens without vocal inflection. Anyway...how bout that music?

Claret : 9 April 2002 - 11:57pm

I'd like to know too, but the word about seems to be that they're busy recording for the next little while, but I don't think it's an album. Won't it say on their website??? I dunno. I'll keep you informed if I hear anything and vice versa.

Claret : 9 April 2002 - 11:23pm

I think we've figured you've got intimacy issues, Hollis. Being so fond of irritating people and all. It's always reassuring to know that it can be brought out in such a non-intimate way. Maybe you've met your match - no one seems to be able to read your tone either.

Claret : 9 April 2002 - 8:59pm

Are you asking if you can run away with me? Hell is other people right Hollis?

Claret : 9 April 2002 - 3:45pm

Wanna buy me a drink, Hollis? We can be anyone we wanna be.

Claret : 8 April 2002 - 10:41pm

What? So few words???? Actually, I think over opinionated wank definitely has a place Hollis. After-all, if it wasn't for the negative wankers, the rest of us may never figure out what we're really passionate about.
Actually, Ihave no solid proof on your identity and would never stoop so low as to air it in public if I did. These are, as you say, dangerous times.

Claret : 8 April 2002 - 8:49pm

I'm just a new girl, but I think I've figured out a thing or two....I think I might even know who Hollis is...Yaaa....do I get a prize? At first I just thought he was a down and out musician who never got a break and frequents nzmusic coz it's his only way into the industry, or perhaps he's become a producer now????Hmmmm. And as for Duncan Grieves - I grieve for him - maybe he'll appreciate the pun being such a cunning linguist and all. I figure he's either a similarly down-trodden, hopeless musician, or perhaps a DJ??? Anyway, just an innocent wee thing me...and just a girl after-all. What would I know about big boys who've discovered words instead of fists?

Claret : 8 April 2002 - 8:35pm

I think the Augustino drummer had something to do with the Vid. Maybe we should ask him?

Claret : 8 April 2002 - 8:31pm

I detect a hint of sarcasm Nato? My point was that they're not trying to be clever. They're trying to entertain themselves and others. There's nothing new under the sun, as we all know, but maybe just different ways of saying old stuff.

Claret : 8 April 2002 - 6:48pm

If you live New Lyn way, P money's playing live at ECM Lyn MAll on Friday 12th April from 4pm.

Claret : 8 April 2002 - 6:46pm

ELEMENO P produce catchy and non-threatening, anthems. It's refreshing and all fun! Love it, can't get it out of my head! I am a little byast coz I know the boys - all ridiculously talented who've played in bands since out of the womb. They all use to do "serious" music, and as I understand it....forgive me boys if I'm wrong....they wanted to do something light-hearted and Universal just happened to dig it....AS DO MANY OF US! As far as I'm concerned - froma critical point of you - there influences are very obvious, but with a totally original spin on it. It reflects their sense of humour I'd say.
I hope they're here to stay.

Claret : 7 April 2002 - 9:24pm

Hmmm - "sell-out" bands? Well, let's consider the environment? New Zealand - Too many friggin critics, not enough people and not enough money!!!! The Tui awards are an excuse for starving musicians to get a feed! Thank God some of them are starving so that New Zealand can export something other than meat! SELL OUTS??? All this means in New Zealand is that some lucky bands have finally found someone who will put some money where their mouths are. Thank-God for the brave fans, go to hell critics and God Bless Augustino!

Claret : 7 April 2002 - 9:11pm

Why don't you go and buy the single???? Support the band and have their art in your damn CD file!
