To all of you who drove, sailed, flew, walked to The Cusp`05 I send out a big Thank You!! for coming and sharing the whole experience with me. It was honestly a dream come true...
The weather was a beautiful thing...the crowd was exceptional...the music was massive!! It was great to meet so many awesome people from all over the country who share a passion for a good ROCK show!!

...something spectacular is creeping nearer?!!

Big ups!! to eveyone who has taken the time and initiative to send in demos and bios for this years event. As previously discussed, the council has confirmed funding for the next 3 years so if you don't make the bill this year, don't be discouraged!!!! The Cusp team have a vision...we see the event as a huge opportunity for up and coming bands to get to a new audience and established bands to get to a new audience. Nelson loves it!!! We have had some huge interest in the event from bands and the general public...this year is going to be huuuuge!!! We will be announcing the first bunch of performers in the first week of September, so keep checkin in...there will be less bands this year. We are running the event from 5pm rather than 1pm. There will be a big name early on, so make sure you are there when the gates open, it's going to be massive!!! There will be an official after-party this year also which will run from 2am 'til dawn...watch this space!

Hello all...
This is a post of appreciation to everyone who spoke about, supported, plugged and especially those who came out and witnessed The Cusp`03.
It was a true spectacle, and an event the NZ music industry should and will recognise and be proud of...
A showcase of some of Aotearoas finest.
The concept of The Cusp was to create an uplifting, positive and unique event with quality, class and continuity through-out the day. My driving force was the local talent that needed to be exposed to the masses, I was checking out gigs every second night of the week and thinking "Fuck, everyone needs to see these bands!!!"
It wouldn't have happened without the support and funding from Jill Larking and the Nelson City Council. Jill along with many other local bodies (ie police, local business' and certain camping ground owners..?), wanted to see something like this happen in Nelson for some time. I was just wrapped with the conceptual freedom I was given and the support the event received from day 1.
There has been nothing but positive comments and feedback from the greater community and YES it is going to happen next year!!!! with more funding, and more security...'cause judging by this years turnout, ~ the birth of something special ~ ...next year is going to be immense!!!!
Once again, big shout outs to all of you!!, your support for what is an ever-evolving music scene here in New Zealand shows the world, that we have this much faith in our native blood and we are willing to dedicate sacred time in our days to express and nurture the scene and its cast...you are the backbone.

Rock n Roll is alive and well............and living in Nelson!!!! /m/
