Have to say I thought the feelers were a bit lack-luster at the Welly summer jam. Hadn't seen them for ages, and was waiting for them to go off, and waiting and waiting. Thought they lacked energy and looked like they didn't want to be there. Total contrast to Tadpole and Rubicon. Still love the songs tho. Heard from a friend that they were totally smashed in Christchurch, and that James was so drunk he couldn't strap on his guitar. What's up with that Oasis behaviour?

Oh yeah, and on the original topic, musicians definitely have the right to a private life. Their sex lives (or lack of) make no difference to their music, which was why you were interested in them in the first place.
Of course the exception to this rule could be vocalists, an interest in their sex lives could spring from a desire to understand their songs, and who doesn't write every now and then about their love life?
I heard that the Zed boys get hassled all the time, they have all had to change their mobile numbers because they got out and were harrassed. Not only that, but they have young girlie fans who walk up to them and ask straight out if they can have sex with them. Now that seems to me to be very sad behaviour. Where is your dignity? Appreciate the music, but if you find yourself picking up the phone, you are taking it a step too far.

Umm, yes, I think Andy from Zed is a wicked guitarist. Not keen on their music, but he has some tasty sounding lines. And of course Shihad are no slouches when it comes to solid and chunky. I think Chris from Tadpole is pretty good too. Did I miss anyone?

Tadpole_rock, you poor thing! Taddies rocked so much at the Welly jam I drove up to Hammy to see them again, and they played even better there! New Bassist is phenomenal (and quite cute too which doesnt hurt) But they were definitely the best band on both nights. Better even than Silverchair. They just had more energy and put on more of a performance than anyone else. Altho I heard the silverchair boy was sick, so that may explain some of it...
