Hey boys!
Good to see you are getting the mad props you deserve!
I am keeping an eye on you all the way over here in Kelowna, BC and am eagerly looking forward to 'Pegasus" being released over here soon in the near future :)

I don't think Shannon feels or has to feel insercure about anything... .. he made the best decision for him and he looks like he now has a whole lot of weight off his shoulder now....and a wonderful new girlfriend which I imagine he would like to spend more time with rather than devoting himself to something he now longer has the heart for...
Good luck to both parties I say!
True, also the amount of noise that would be on that mp3 before it hits your nomad would cancel out the benefits of such a low SND I imagine... you can't polish a turd, but you can laminate it!
Did my research..... that -98 I was talking aboiut is the Signal to Noise ratio or basically what part of the signal that you are hearing is the track and what is noise generated by the Nomads on-board sound interface.
"To N3's credit, its headphone jack's SNR rivals that of good home audio gear, although the line-out didn't fare so well. And while the headphone jack's performance is pretty close to Creative's quoted SNR figure (-96dB), its line-out is nowhere near its quoted figure (-98dB). "
Nerdsville - population me :_)

I was considering getting an ipod but decided on the 30gb Nomad Zen Xtra for around $550 from Ascent.. Really happy with it although I probably could get away with half the capacity (you can use them as data drives too but I don't shift alot of data... just mp3s on it at the mo)... Really made me appreciate good mp3 coding though (at least 192 VBR now, when you are listening to your music through half-decent cans it makes all the difference)
Downsides - not the worlds friendliest interface, its crashed about 3 times... easy to reset though... Ipods look cooler...You have to use their software to connect it to the computer (ie you have to lug around the drivers if you want to go to a mates house and get stuff - although you can just download a driver straight off the net if you have access)
On the plus side - I hear they have better pre-amps (-98 db or something) than the ipod - not much of an audiophile - will look that up to see what that means for the sound quality
Yeah groovy... looks like ours was the heat to beat so to speak..
Looking forward to it!
Opps, just spotted this topic!
Thanks Sam, didn't make it along to any of the heats because I look at pictures all day and my eyes get tired...
Auckland Oktobor's one was pretty shizzy, it was the horror one with the amazing titles called 'hold dear'... it made the finals but didn't place...
peace out
Awesome, good things come to those who wait I guess...At least one of the guitars was a WETA eh? Should be easy to spot when it pops up eventually!
Looks like we are up against each other sam!
I was really stoked with how the edit came out especially since none of us are 'pros'... unfortunately since we don't deal with DV much here (at Oktobor) I was only able to output a offline cut ex SP(ran out of time you see)... kinda suits the genre (drug dependancy) though and since it was a single field resolution it softened the DV-ness of the footage for us... you can see the codec working overtime though
Power cut was funny though, can't take things like that too seriously.... good explosion from the substation/what ever it was though!
I did, had great fun trying to edit the whole thing in 9 hours yesterday!
Actually started on Saturday but a power cut meant the whole of Saturday night was a write-off!
Thanks too to dusty and teina (or their smart script) that changed my email address so those bloody email trawling search-bots don't send me emails about viagra..
Keep forgetting about those f*** :)
Yeah sweet...

Fire away... There is a guy apparently coming to look at it this weekend...they break down so much its good to have spare car or two lying around...
What do you want to do with it?
The reason I am asking is that I have a MG Montego (one of the worst cars ever built..) sans WOF/REG (but going) that I could sell to you for around $250 (providing it doesn't go this weekend)
Groovy
I reckon you should Tobes!
Could you also do a version in A3 for our bedroom walls?
Ta
If you need someone to convert it for you, give me a yell and I might be able to slip it through the system...depending on what format the original is on
groovy
I feel kinda sus4....I want to resolve but the coffee isn't letting me :)
Maybe i need a 'substitution'....bida boom
You mean Buzz Lightyear?
Its the photo on this site I'm referring to.
Saw these guys play their last gig for a while in Shoreditch and they were hella tight, nice angular riffs too... Chur
