i cant believe this shit is still goin on, get over it (to the likes of annasmith, and sonicyouth), if jakob are so "boring" or such "frauds" why come in here and start shit, my life, take chill pills guys. everyone is entitled to their own opinion so have it and go if you have something negative to say about their music, stop trying to convert their fans and waste a whole lot of energy on your own issues. jakob have created themselves as they are and (annasmith) if what they create as a band reminds you of other bands then so be it, you should step outside your little hdu box and experience a whole lot more in music instead of sticking to your narrow-minded-already-trodden path. also to rebut a comment you made a while back about how arrogant they are when you met them, don't mistake their arrogance for the focus that they have for their music, although we could quite easily misinterpret your arrogance with your ignorance......raaah.
just had to say that i saw Salmonella Dub play on the weekend at DCM's on Oxford, Sydney, which was a strange enough venue in itself, but any who what a night. The atmosphere, ambience and energy was just amazing, well impressed guys, good to see so many kiwis altogether away from home supporting our bands, also good to see so many australians (didn't think it was possible prior to this!) up in there for 'Dub, managed to persuade a whole lot of people i work with to come along and all had a really random, but awesome night........raaah!
nearly all went again to see them play the following night @ beachroad hotel, bondi, they did it up once again in the same style and quality they have every time i've seen them play....bla-a-a-a
melodic joy and melcholy tones, what an atmosphere this song has, well beyond what you could ever try to describe anyway
how good was that? absolute bliss up @ orange, this was the last time that i saw jakob play before departing the bay, the buzz that nite was awesome, jakob, looma and everyone else there that night ROCKED, think that was the fundraiser night for anthony and that, hats off to everyone....
raah! missing the bay aswell guys, miss the familiarity of rocking up to O'flahs, heading out the side there for a j, back inside to try and fend off the flu you new you were going to get (from the cold air outside) by sitting by that roarer of a fire with a pint in one hand and smoke in the other meanwhile taking up all the atmosphere of ambient tunes and mellowed bliss!
being away from the bay its nice to hear and see the familiarity that this lulling tune has, lush envelopness!
this is truely the oblivion that you can get lost and woken in, one of my faves from the bay boys
