//I can't wait to pick up the self-titled debut.

Oh man, you must. Its the best of their four. Alot of covers which are great but they never bet the original songs on their self titled album. Especially if you're into the rawness you just described.

But thats just my opinion :)

Not only did they put SLOU on at a later time - they never properly finished the season, did they? They just dropped it. So annoying! That makes it less likely that they would bring in a new season right? And here i was thinking i was the only person who watched that show...

Does anyone know anything more about a rumoured strokes sideshow?

I introduced myself to Ryan Adams by buying Gold (I still don’t know anyone who is into him that I haven’t told them about first… so I’m glad I stumbled across this forum). I then bought Heartbreaker, then Demolition, etc… but have never really got into Whiskeytown. Perhaps I should? I've been thinking about getting Pneumonia.

//What do you guys think of his association with Sir Elton John?
I think the cmt crossroads show they did together was brilliant. Apart from that I haven’t really thought about the association.

Rock n roll is ryan adams' "official" release after Gold. He recorded Love Is Hell but his label Lost Highway deemed it too dark so he was sent back to the studio and came up with rock n roll (in the time of three weeks, I think) i find that strange because I enjoy ryan adams’ “dark” stuff a lot. And I don’t think I’m the only one.
Anyway, Love Is Hell got split into two EPs … part 1 is out now and part 2 comes out sometime in December (cant wait!)
Personally I like the Love Is Hell stuff better than Rock n Roll – but the album is a nice change, instead of him releasing another alt-country album. He’s touring the UK and soon US and I’ve been reading mixed reviews. I too long for the day he comes down to New Zealand… !

Anyone who didn't see these guys at The Cross last night missed a great gig.

i thought their version of stop breaking down wasn't bad. One of the White Stripe's best covers would have to be Dolly Parton's Jolene though

D4. It's worth buying for Heartbreaker alone.

Has anyone heard anything about that nzmusic.com interview with rubicon in the recording studio? As in... did it ever happen, and if it did - when/where can we read about it...? Or am I making a dick of myself because it's already been posted somewhere right under my eyes? Thanks
