marmalade : 4 February 2002 - 10:55am

i was after *confirmed* info about the show/s

but i have been given a list of bands who are confirmed for australia so we should get most of these i think

Pennywise
Guttermouth
New Found Glory (for you GC fans out there)
MXPX (yawn)
The Vandals (Coolies)
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones (double coolies!)
ALL (triple fucking coolies!!)
28 days
Frenzal Rhomb

+ locals

so whether we get all these bands here or not is yet to be seen

WTF!!

some 91zm geezer taking over the programming of channel Z?

i can imagine the coversations at channel Z going something like this....

ASzhusterman: Hey guys ive just heard of this really 'alternative' new singer that were going to start playing...his names robbie williams...he's going to be huge

Bomber: WHAT THE FUCK? @#$%##$%$%$$$^!!!!!

jon and nathan: we dont care as long as we get paid.....we sold out years ago anyway

AS (again) and theres this kiwi group.....im not too sure if youve heard them......deep obsession....they'll go down really well

with this guy in charge they shouldnt bother bringing the edge up here...becasue his guy will likely water channel z down more than it already has become

what a fucking joke

Does anyone have any idea if the warped tour is confirmed for NZ yet or if it is still only on the cards...if so any ideas of bands playing? locals and internationals?....and venues?

marmalade : 23 January 2002 - 5:08am

marmalade : 21 January 2002 - 3:01am

hey andy...

you should hype yourselves a bit more like
"day one is FUCKIN INSANE!!" ya!

its the truth

whens yr next Auckland gig?

marmalade : 20 January 2002 - 2:48pm

somehow i dont quite understand how songs by rubicon or zed can make anyone feel anything....

anyway here are my homesick songs

pink frost - the chills (i remember hearing this on triple J and it made me soooooooo sad and i just wanted to be back in NZ)
debs nite out - shihad
maybe the rain - supergroove (those soulful che vox)
how bizzare - omc
who loves who the most/why does love do this to me/victoria
- the exponents

marmalade : 20 January 2002 - 2:33pm

heheheh i still have my old 'heat' keyring

they were what channel z are now, a sort of leftfield mainstream pop/rock radio station......but even australias bastion of "alternative" music has gone the way of channel Z, triple J hhas become a bit of a shadow of its former self with all the similar traits of channel Z it has developed....

although it could just be growing older, i remember the first month of channel Z and it seemed so fresh to me back when i was 16, im now 22, i just wonder if i had have heard bomber back then, if i had though he was fresh and rebellious?...its just that now the issues raised on channel Z are not relevant to a person of my age...boyfreinds and girlfreind jazz isnt interesting to me, but politics and things such as GE and other social issues do appeal.....

the only hosts i can stomach these days are phoebe and james, any other time i just flick over to the rock, george or the specialist shows on bfm....
