my two cents are such a great band, i've seen them numerous times live and their performance never lacks... if you get the chance, cruise along and observe them rock your world, its sure to be an interesting show with the luke fellow keeping spirits jolly...

as long as we're talking about the same band here, it's definitely 'Stardrunk' - one word, one band, bloody good. i have their second LP which is entiltled 'overstay' and i tell you what, the five songs are the best five songs i have heard come out of tauranga in a long while. i saw them live a week or two ago in hamilton, which is where i am, at the 'nine bands for no bucks' concert, and they rocked my world. they have a wicked live performance, and if the opportunity arises, i totally recommend shooting down and seeing them for yourself... this is nz music at its fucken best, ladies and gentlemen

i have seen them live and yeah, they kiss ass... they definitely have a wicked on-stage personality as a whole band. the concert was also brilliant because of the opening acts - 'misled by lies' and i think 'my two cents', you were there too... wicked bands, wicked show

music is music. i am a huge fan of blindspot, and i generally don't listen to britney spears or any of the rest of them. my reasoning is because i just can't get into a song unless the artist is totally fully about that song... do you know what i mean? like britney spears doesn't write her own lyrics, her own music, she doesn't play her own instruments, doesn't conduct her own backing tracks, she rarely even sings the words herself, she computerises it all... and lipsyncing.... its a sin. but i don't go dissing it because its what she does and some people like it so who cares? with other music the same view should be taken. i mean, people, 'american influences'...?? the product is what you get, so forget about where it came from. if you like a song, you like a song. if you like more than a few songs, then you like te band. end of story. i have a personal problem with people classifying music and judging it because of their own stupid classifications... its gets on my back you know? and sometimes i can't shrug it. linkin park for instance. i understand that some people don't get into their music, and THAT'S FINE, but if you bigots who say they are commercial could step out of your own selfrighteous skin for a miute and THINK about it... then maybe you wouldn't have such a criticising view on everyone. i am a local music supporter and i often go to gigs where bands play and all they're all aged like under 19. bands stand up on the stage, in front of less than 100 people and they'll go hard... it's the look in their eyes that lets you know how they feel about their music, and they all have it. the thing is, i think all bands have no choice but to start out this way... just poor kids who love what they do, so they do it. letting people hear their message is their aim, money and fame is the consequence. how likely is it that a band will get together at 18 and have a goal that starts with the dollar sign? not very. it just doesn't work that way. when i thought about linkin park in this way, i realised that ultimately, their careers in the music industry was inspired by a passion which all those who make it, and most of those who don't, acquire. good for them that they made it. good for them that 12 year olds listen to their stuff. as long as someone is hearing what you have to say, i think you've known success... and after success there can't be anything better... money is nothing better. this is a blindspott thread, so i'll take a minute to be positive and congratulate blindspott on what they've achieved so far. if you guys ever take the time to hear and read some of the stuff your fans say about you, you'll taste what it tastes like to be proud... and so you should be. i read the blindspot artist page today and i was totally blown away by all the interest that's been shown... people are so curious. i know this is a general forum and i should probably be spinning off all my yarns in a more appropriate place, but i was here when i got all amped up to make a speech and so here i am making it.

blindspott are legendary.... see you at queen st everybody
