seamus : 15 August 2002 - 8:36pm

from what ive listened to i think it could turn out to be a bit of a flop ... they nailed 'bulletproof' though, after that however...

seamus : 18 June 2002 - 11:49am

its the songs. they are damn good. over however many releases shihad have put out they are rated because all of them have been good.

seamus : 14 June 2002 - 5:39pm

haha the size of this forum over a day is just adding to the so called "shihad hype." damn funny.

seamus : 24 April 2002 - 5:50pm

this is random i know but the marxist song "fatha beam" is actually named after jim beam (and father ted). so wouldn't it be funny if the first winner was "fatha beam"? of course we wont be sending it in cause its way too crap. u can download it tho:

seamus : 18 April 2002 - 8:03pm

Woo everybody!
well we have finally had a new song of ours accepted and put onto our website! Yay! Its called "I Don't Drink Water" and is well worth a listen. In fact its probably the most general song up there, so it makes for a good listen. Go to the link below:

yea yea put me down for a vote!!! two or three if u can!

seamus : 12 April 2002 - 11:34am

thats a lot of negativity thrown at simpy by you lovely, comsidering that he finished off saying (and i quote) "I think Blindspott have promise...I think they are definitely good enough to be fairly big on the NZ and Aussie market."
knowing him as well i would say he knows a great deal more about music than most people, from seeing his own cd collection and the music he has played in bands and stage bands.
Maybe you should be welcomed to the year 2002?

seamus : 11 April 2002 - 8:59pm

hey simpy, what about "the morning after" on there? im ebing serious this post, its the perfect song for a chill out album. havent heard it? goto the following link:

seamus : 9 April 2002 - 12:43am

hmm good point about liam finn there simpy, although we dont actually know that he doesnt eat shit. i mean, he might. god knows ive thought about doing it, but we have given him the benefit of the doubt anyway, and said that he doesnt (although in the song we say he does).
oh yea that new betchadupa song is cool.

seamus : 6 April 2002 - 7:22pm

Well it seems everyone hates 'these guys' so lets get the abuse and/or praise flowing. Personally i love it and don't know how 'these guys' don't have a record deal, but lets get your opinion. 'Their' music can be downloaded from the following address:

seamus : 6 April 2002 - 7:12pm

woo when u start picking on marxist u start picking on the rest of the band. i spose u realise that we record everything on a $14 mic we got from the warehouse. also MY guitar is a mighty ashton, bought in combo with a legend amp for around $500 total. everything we do costs us nothing to do so dont complain about how crap it is, cause we arnt promoting it for people that want to hear professional music. the music that we r making is purely ideas and not meant to be sold or anything like that. we r having fun. so far we have made NO money!
u write a song and put it on the net for everyone to hear and then we'll see who is better.
ps. got the woo (part one) is damn good, just cause u dont like it means that u dont like it!

seamus : 6 April 2002 - 5:25pm

its a forum.....dont tell people to shut up.......ITS A FORUM!

seamus : 29 March 2002 - 9:06pm

woo lighten up i was just stirring some shit. jeez sorry!
and also the 'kid a' call was not out to mock 'kid a,' my point was that die hard radiohead fans from their more classical rock days went out of their way to say how great 'kid a' was, when really they didn't like it and didn't listen to it, just to stay loyal to the band.
(also 'creep' on repeat would be boring).

seamus : 29 March 2002 - 5:51pm

obviously struck a nerve with u people about dj's.......

seamus : 28 March 2002 - 10:18pm

yea and i love it how dj's play their own original music, its really creative!

seamus : 28 March 2002 - 11:36am

...they used to play "whippin' piccadily" off bring it on....

seamus : 27 March 2002 - 11:22pm

yea its true that people will say they like nz music just cause its nz, which really is a big bunch of crap. but it happens all the time in music ie. someone likes a band and then they might release a shit album but fans still go "oh yea this is good" when its complete trash ('kid a' springs to mind).
so really it cant be helped, but yea theres heaps of shit nz music, like rubicon (admit it, its boring shite) and the feelers new album (boring) and all this crap dance dj shite that everyone raves on about everytime theres some new release. "oh my god, this dj is amazing, its soo techno-jungle-house-with-a-slice-of-bacon-in-the-middle."
yea supergroove is damn good tho, just thinking about it. cant really go past 'you freak me,' its animal.

seamus : 26 March 2002 - 12:27am

yea well they're gonna put all this nz music on the radio which is great, but i hope that they do it right ie. play a broad range of nz music that no one gets to hear but is good, rather than my fear that we r gonna have rubicon and the feelers played twice as much. so my question is what kinda of nz music r they actually talking about playing 20% of the time?????????????????

seamus : 26 March 2002 - 12:12am

good call on the hasselhoff experiment vid, damn funny, done by the guys from back of the y. thats what its really all about isnt it, havin fun with your music and just doing stuff thats random. who cares if you've got no money to make a video, crap things r often the best anyway.

seamus : 20 March 2002 - 12:57pm

wat kind of a stupid topic is this?
