Actually, pirates would be kinda dirty & scody... A ninja might be better to go out with due to the cleanliness factor, but generally I like pirates way better than ninjas.

Reviewers seem to be saying this is a terrible adaption. The ones that seem to do the best, are the ones that stick closely to the book, like 95's BBC version. It's been about 2 years since it was on TV, hope they play it again soon.

I feel for you. I was never allowed one either. UNTIL they were $20 at the warehouse. Then she caved. It was great. Never got Alex the Kidd though, had to play it at the couzzies.
My Mum loved it. She even brought some needles home to stick in herself (was easy to do since it was in her hand)
I often wondered how she could just laugh when the cat would bat at & pull on the needles though... Don't hang around cats when you have needles sticking in your skin.

Yeah. There was 1 celebrity, can't remember who, but he was begging to do a voice on South Park. He was offered the voice of turkey #13 on the Thanksgiving episode & was not happy.
