I think your wronge ! the show was most memorable, perhaps you should have let yourself fall into a "relaxed tear shit up have a fun time type of" mood instead of waiting for stunts.
The Datsuns have mastered big crowd / stage showmanship they were not only professional and tight but still had the honest spark that has always made them exciting to watch.
Two Lane were wicked but im biased. Bloody Soles were chaotic and formless. probibly would have been better suited to the opening spot.

Sound : I didnt catch Ejecter but I thought the sound was pretty good, I remember back to Gamut playing bands in the square and the southerly wiping out 1/2 the drum kit, and the PA being so small you couldnt hear when it gusted.
It seemed to be the most populated Bands in the square since the aforementioned HLAH one. At least of the ones I have attended.
conclusion : nice day, interesting bands, made me feel VERY OLD. haha then again maybe I am.

Jesus Christ there is some ignorant sad shit being spilt from peoples keyboards on this forum. As some one who has played with both Pip and Matt in the past ,lived with Phil and who is good freinds with several of the band and who counts himself as a close freind of Matt I can assure you :
A-Matt doesnt think he is God , Matt of all people was the least likly to let any hype go to his head. You are just revealing your ignorance.
B-What ever you think of thier musical talent it obviosly was enougth to satisfy crowds in New York and Melb (as well as many here).
C- did you not understand that 2lane was a theatrical band, tantrums , songs named after movies , Kiss shirts, fake band member names... You dont have to like it but you also shouldnt take it seriosly and make assumptions about thier personalitys from it.
Also does it occure to you that the band members actually read this stuff, it does actually upset them. Particulary when its done behind the safty of a screen name. Scene bullshit that they are now free of.
