High Dependency Unit (HDU) are a psychedelic guitar rock band originally from Dunedin. HDU are renown for highly sonic live shows reaching Bailter Spaceic proportions courtesy of Tristan's wall of guitar meanderings, all anchored down with Neil's driving bass and "The Dino Shuffle".<!--break-->

History

In 1994 a little known Dunedin band by the name of Eskimo Chain decided to change their name and musical direction, adopting a more sonic approach to song writing by focusing on sound dynamics, this new band created a wave of interest up and down the country, HDU was born!

Up until the 2006 EP Tunguska, HDU have a had an unofficial Forth member, Dale Cotton (Aka. Conray) has helmed both the recorded and live sound.

Rumours

There is a rumour that HDU have had interest from American Post-Metal Label Neurot Recordings

I hate being the bad guy, but lets use this as a measurement...

Out of this band who is sitting on the beach in a suit or tucked away at the back.

So with this wiki bizo.
I'm guessing we write about our and others bands etc and NZMusic in general?
Can we run it kinda like a cross between a Myspace page and Wikipedia?
Can we add media? And create musical family trees?
This is wicked BTW

Everyone has an album or group who they love, but for some reason you seem to be the only person in the world who does.
So you have discovered over the years that to save yourself from being violently attacked, that it is best not mention said album/group in your favourite's list...
I have many, but mostly it's these guys

Die? Die? Die? (Damn Fanta Pants)
I can't think of a less appropriate band to play with The Clean....(Well I can think of a few but that's beside the point).
Mestar are more appropriate and even they aren't appropriate enough.
What about someone like Over The Atlantic or Cinematic (wink) or Cassette or LD3 or Richard Towers
