what i think should happen is instead of jacking up the prices to limit the crowd [coz they still have to make a certain amount of money when they have less people] is that they just don't advertise. this would mean that they'd save the money of mass advertising and they wouldn't have to put up the price. the show basically sells itself now anyway and therefore the people going will either have had the experience previously or know of people that have. a more experienced crowd is definately better safety-wise because they know what to expect. maybe a few posters and the site, but nothing more.

i think the 15+ rule is great. and the beauty of it is, they wont even need to check for i.d. how many 12, 13, 14 year olds do you know will buy a ticket and risk not being able to get in? anyone that does risk it [i.e they think they look older, have fake id etc] will probably get in if they did check anyway.

what's up with the powerstation?
i heard that apartments are going up or something. i hope not, it's such a great venue. not that i've ever been to the town hall for a concert. i don't like north shore events centre as a venue although it does allow a lot more numbers in [but that's not necc. a good thing] but somehow the price goes up. st james doesn't seem to have the scumy charm of the powerstation. there's something about the powerstation i'd miss. it's compaction maybe, smaller than big venues but bigger than bars, if you know what i mean. just the right size

every band has been compared. it's what we do, when we hear something we seem to liken it to others. besides it helps describe it to others.

the rock for me although *sometimes* channel z. i love how the rock has things like no repeat and double shot. just little things that add some flavour to the day. hard and heavy on bfm is pretty good, but i usually forget to listen to it

system of a down would definately be a band i'd go see. slipknot would be a pretty show to see. nz wise, i don't really have any favourites, which is actually pretty sad...
be there for nofx, but that's not worth the $80 or so
