survived a car crash the other night and realised i don't wanna be a musician anymore, can't believe how much time and effort i feel like i've spent on it... probably find other more meaningful ways to be a Christian now, try to treat the people i know right, and try to work on my relationship with God in this life. hey folks, i've put up some songs on MySpace which you're all welcome to go and listen to if youse like, sorry i'd prefer that people don't add me as a friend and request for me to add them as a friend unless we know each other or you would like us to get to know each other - i can't stand it when people add lots of people just for the sake of having a big list

hey folks, just got an e-mail from the CPIT they're offering these creative arts courses that you can take for $10, one of them is a music industry course which i'd really recommend for anyone who wants to know more about how record deals and band management stuff work, the tutor Cary Caldwell is really nice (i think everyone who goes to gigs in Christchurch must know him) and i took it two years ago, it was lots of fun. if anyone's interested in it you can contact. i haven't taken the sound production one before and might be taking it, i've met Philipp before too, nice jolly German man with a big heart

Has anyone here moved there for the purpose of being a musician? If so, what's it like? Is the music scene much greater?

I've moved from Christchurch to Wellington, and in terms of the music scene it's not much different - just more centralised in Windy. So I wouldn't recommend moving solely for the purpose of music. Oh yeah, and I wouldn't recommend changing from Canterbury to Vic uni either, 'cos the Canterbury campus is like 100 times nicer (environment wise).

thanks for the advice... i probably won't follow it up 'cos i don't see myself as a singer, i followed the link though 'cos i was interested in what you meant as gayer than a bag of penises : P

Jubilee will be the next big NZ band, here's our first song

it's just not fair i don't intend to keep on living 'til next year
but you say that your friend's not well and would give anything for good health
i just want to know why you don't even want to know me now, is it 'cos you're too busy for me now
and have all those new people in your life now

just want you to know that even after all this time
you're still someone to me
do you know

i just miss having a simple friend like you around
but it's not like i can't handle life by myself

just want you to know that even after all this time
and all that you been through
i still do appreciate you

i just miss having the simple faith that you'd never let me down
i need your help
