Hi there everyone,

I am one half of a film-making duo who are in the process of writing our first feature length film. We are looking for enthusiastic local bands to help us put together the soundtrack for our film.

We are looking for a quirky, 60s kinda feel (Bonzo Dog Band, Fifth Dimension, Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood etc) to go with a modern story - an interesting juxtaposition which we feel will give us an interesting edge.

We finished writing the script and are looking for a NZ band to produce our sound.

This is a serious opportunity.

Please visit our website www.sloveniaaftersix.com and drop us a line if you're interested.

Thanks!

Hi There,

Yeah, I realise that '60s' was probably a bit too vague...I have put together a CD of the 'sound' we're after. It's got a bit of The Bird (Not to be confused with The Birds), Percy Faith, Fifth Dimension, Los Bravos, Bonzo Dog Doh Dah Band, Jay and the Americans, Dave Berry - basically a quirky 60s sound that isn't 'too mainstream', or more obscure work of mainstream artists.

I hope this helps...

feel free to drop us a line at sloveniaaftersix@hotmail.com if you're interested.

That's a good question - basically at this stage, any music or soundtrack produced would be 'for the love of the project', and of course some kind of profit sharing agreement should the production go into the black at the end of the day.
We are also applying for funding from various agencies, for example the Screen Innovation Production Fund, so if any of those come through, then yes money will be available for the development of the soundtrack.
Hope that answers your question!

THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT A PIPE DREAM, BUT A 'FOR REAL' OPPORTUNITY.
