I would like to thank god for putting on an overall awesome sunny day, I thought all they bands played pretty well although they weren't all my style and taste everyone there seem to have a pretty good time which was the whole point. Besides it was free its hard to find something wrong when its free, heheh.

I want to say RIU looks way better then five years back but the content has gone mainstream, Back in the 60's-70's the mag used to be free or so I'm told. Would be nice if they did mainly NZ music and up coming gigs. There are a few cheap/free magazines out there doing local music prehaps in 30 years they'll sell out too like most things in life.

While bomber maybe funny to the 'confussed teens' such as yourself just like barney is funny to the under 5's its hard to work how having him in the prime radio slot is doing channel Z anygood and the sooner a better station comes along the better.
Dumbest ever NZ band is indeed true bliss, I do think Zed are better then true bliss although they do suck pretty bad live.
Lots of teenie boppers listin to Bomber(love to know what his real name is the freak) because bomber is a want to be teenie bopper into his cool word 'fuck' and his cool pop rock. Oh how I would love for someone to set up a way better radio station
The only reason why people leave new zealand is because you can not make a living from music here. There is not enough people unlike the U.K. It is a huge ask for a band to play gigs all over NZ writing new songs, working on videos clips and singles, and working a full/part time job. So they try to make it big here before moving overseas where they hopefully make enough money to make a living off music. Hence the only reason why a band would go else where is Money =)
You complain about people complaining. I think you'll find people are begining to stop listining to channel z as a whole because its seems they are becoming way too much pop and less and less rock. They gave away the system of the down cd as thier cd of the week which was cool but hardly ever played thier music which kinda seemed pointless as you would think it would make sense to play thier lastest single lots. I don't listin to the radio now at all except for more fm at work. I would listin to Radio active but I can't pick it up which is a shame so at the moment I'm listing to my cds. The general vibe is people don't like channel z anymore for lots of different reasons.
I was wondering what everyones favourite nz album cover design was. Its hard to think of one that really stands out. Personally I think one of the worst one was the fishy album by shihad, not saying that shihad suck because I think they're NZ/wellingtons best ever band just that fish had nothing to do with the album or the band and it looks crap, the album I quite like. If I had to pick the best Album cover it would be weta's Geographica which is also a great album.
I know they have a song on Shihad's Your Head is a Rock single, Thats the only song of thiers I've ever heard and I thought it was pretty awesome I wouldn't hearing some other Hell Is Other People stuff
I personally don't think channel Z is that bad at the moment, Just at night when they have bomber which noone seems to like at all. How he got a job on Radio and how he keeps it is really amazing. Channel Z do play alot of good music, mainly between 10-11, and quite a few little known new zealand bands like marystaple. Crap music stations would have to be the likes of MoreFM and to a lesser degree 91zm with way too much pop boy/girl bands. Personally I would like to see a station playing just smaller NZ bands trying to make it big although getting and keeping it running would not make too much market sense and I wouldn't like to see a station like that run by the government. In fact I don't like the idea of government quotas on music stations as I think it would just devalue New Zealand music, more so since its really starting to grow and really good bands are starting to appear thanks to supergroove, shihad, HLAH etc
