The fact that you label any post you dont start as 'non-christian' is closeminded and makes you an idiot. There are those who are also christian but dont 'judge' people as you are doing.

So does the matrix...Coincidence? I think NOT

We here at Grounded Mag are looking for a few passionate people;
Do you LOVE music?
Can you write an article or do an interview?
Do you have a sense of humour?
We are looking for people who are keen to write articles or do interviews. An absolute passion for music (or if you are funny that would be sweet too!) is a must.
Ever wanted to be a rock journalist? Ever had theories about the changing face of Music (both here and overseas)? Are you opinionated and can put your opinions across in an intelligent and sophisticated (or atleast comical) way?
then get in touch! We are always keen to hear from people who want to get involved. We are also keen to hear from anyone that wants to do art/design for the mag, or is good with organising advertising.
Grounded Mag is a free blk+wht magazine with National Exposure (soon to be international).
If you, or someone you know, is interested in getting involved send us an email to Grounded@rbgrecords.co.nz
Also, always on the look out for bands to interview, and unsigned bands to profile. So if you want to be featured, or want us to feature your mates band, let us know!

We are a heavy 4 piece (2gats, bass, drums) based in wellington CBD. Play a mix of metal/punk/rock/hardcore style music. Basically heavy and melodic. Looking for a talented female singer to complete the lineup. If you are into stuff like Kittie and want to do that sort of scream/sing style, even better. if not, being able to sing well (powerfully) in tune is the main thing.
We are wanting a female singer, but if you are a guy who can sing IN-TUNE and can scream well. Then give us a call, we are open to suggestion.
Have material ready to go (lyrics, vocal lines). Tho the lyrics are open to you adding your own flavour to them. And yes, we can help you with writing lyrics (everyone has a say in what we do in songwriting). So if this sounds like you...give me a buzz or a txt on 027 319 2407. Or just reply here.
Cheers all
Ollie
At the moment we are 2 guitarists, a bassist and a drummer. Our biggest influences are Lost Prophets, Tool, Deftones, Korn, As I Lay Dying, etc,etc so you get the idea. Its quite heavy alot of the stuff we right, but we also write stuff thats almost the complete opposite (not pop, but just softer side of life).
We practice thursdays in a great Studio in CBD wellington with full P.A setup. When we get final lineup will look at goibng up to 2 a week. We are all committed to going places so this band wouldnt suit someone who is unreliable or unambitious.
We're looking for someone that is easy going, likes long walks on the beach, talking til sunrise...all that jazz (has a sense of humour!) but most importantly has Stage Presence and Commitment!
If your keen, guys or girls, then give me a txt/call on 027 319 2407
or leave a message here with your contact details and I will get back to you A.S.A.P
Cheers all
Ollie
We all have broad influences. But you could say some of the key influences are probably Tool, Korn, Deftones, Glassjaw, As I Lay Dying, Blink182, Metallica, American Head Charge, APC, etc.
So alot of heavier style rock/metal but with lighter influenced stuff thrown in (like blink182, etc).
We are still looking for a talented singer/growler/screamer to complete the lineup.
Cheers
Hell yeah The Mars Volta are coming *dances around the room clapping like rainman* Yay!
AKA has forever earned my respect from what you wrote (not that you didnt have it already). But you are an inspiration and I fully admire you for it. Best wishes to you always!
Rdor... there arent even words enough to say what I think of you. But lets just say, you rate down there with Destiny Church mate.
Rdor, people like you should be shot. Out of a cannon, into the sun. Your hypocritical, often religious, highly pretentious, propaganda-like, nazisist Bullsh*t makes you out to be a pratt that I would cross the street to avoid (or in some cases, cross the street to throw stones at you). Your one of those people that I hope to never meet so as to avoid wanting to break you with a large wooden bat. You really should crawl back down to the pits of hell with the rest of Destiny church and leave us 'sinners' alone :)
But thats just my 2cents worth after having read 100 or so of your posts. Have a good day :)
Hey all,
we are still looking for a singer to fill the lineup. The music style is quite heavy, with some lighter songs. You could say that its punk/metal/hardcore/alternate/emo sorta thing. But basically we are after a singer with an easy going personality that can sing and (hopefully) scream. But the main thing is being able to sing.
We are all pretty easy to get along with. 2 guitarists, drummer, and bassist. All are competent on our instruments.
We practice in a studio on a thursday (but will move up to 2 a week when we have final lineup with singer, possibly more in future). There is a full P.A system there so dont matter if you dont have your own gear.
If you are keen to have a go with us and are committed to going places (this is a MUST) then give me a txt/call on 0273192407. Or leave a msg here with contact details.
Cheers :)
Ollie
p.s Both Guys and Gurls are welcome to have a go with us :)
I voted for you before I even read this post. Namely becos it was the only one that really struck me as a meaningful idea. Though that puppets thing would be pretty kewl to see. Best of Luck. Looking forward to hearing your album.
