And technically, actually doing something counts as an achievement. So, technically, the Mission Gizzard EP IS an achievement because we actually did it!
U know it is my band, and i hate tootin our own horns (not that Floppy needs much help with it by the sounds of it :) -kiddin, i love you man), but I am very proud of my band. Even more so for the fact that we have done what a lot of other bands are too lazy to do and have atually gotten off our arses to actually recorded somethin for commercial release -out of our own pockets (or Jordans technically) I might ad.
So yeah, sorry if the songwriting isnt up to your standard aint up to your standard Boldresacks, but you cant argue that it aint an achievement bud.

I know the Checks will do well as a band, they have a very retro and quite a culture defining sound -that culture just doesnt happen to co-encide with MG's tastes so apologies all round. Admittedly not ALL of the Cramps songs sound like the Checks, but there is one song of note (I havent a clue what the name is its Jordan who listens to all that old skool stuff) whose guitar line is alnmost definitely a ripoff. I was gonna point out that we pride ourselves on having more abusive comments than The Checks -but in truth, we dont. Im not dissing the Checks, I spose I get a lil jealous of them cause everyone i met who has heard of them absolutely love them, but the fact is that they have just as many abusive comments in their forum as we do in ours.
I think its just great how Kiwi's are so supportive. A lot of us only go on to the internet, find a forum, and praise our fave bands. I think its fuckin funny that there are also thosse who go on the internet to do the opposite, and slander bands that suck. Where is the love?
I think the point about bringing up the Checks is that: no matter what we do, anyone that is, someone is gonna hate you for it.
But yeah, in response to your post dude, followers of the great and all powerful MG are very angry people -mostly due to the subliminal messages in our music like "Your teddy bear doesnt actually love you", or ""I fucked your dog". That tends to make people, like Bouldersacks, very angry, especially when his dog cant hold in his shit and craps all over the lounge.
