no I said huge variety , that doesn't mean everything and yes funk metal/hiphop crossover is part of the scene , just not something I personally gravitate towards . doesn't mean you can't listen to it
suit yourself .
jimi , the chatroom cop . clad in leather . with moustache and codpiece .
he would wait in the bushes outside young boys prep schools . some would call him sinister . others called him ....
I do hate funk metal/ hip hop crossover though , you have to have some perineters .
I guess the only way to appreciate and enjoy the music scene is to listen to a huge variety from punk to classical , pop to vomit metal , dance to line dance ..... Lost my point entirely .. sorry
pluto are touring all through august , with upcomings gigs supporting fur patrol at galatos and garageland in palmerston north
also christchurch , dunedin and Wellington at Bodega(garageland Palmerston North only)
+releasing Red Light Syndrome in two parties , and recording their new video early August
I guess I just view the fore-mentioned genre as a bastard hybrid . I mean since its conception , it's mixing testosterone with testosterone , like Anthrax and public enemy , Rage against the machine , Limp Bizkit , now Lincoln Park . It hasn't the charm of punk or the cleverness of de la Soul , it just take worst and most generic of the genres and puts them together like 100 screaming children running their fingers down an amplified blackboard . it's so corporate precisely due to it's anti-corporate nature , angry young men are sucked in by it because it feeds whatever pain they are going through at the time , but its like trying to parch thirst with salt water .
Just smoke a j and listen to Nick Drake
