think of effects as either things that enhance signal, modulate it or affect the total sound and it'll give you a reasonably good rule of thumb. from Guitar to amp enhancing pedals go first, modulators second and total sound effectors, basically last.
on your list of wah ,flanger, delay, equilizer and distortion I'd say
guitar- distortion- wah- flanger- equalizer- delay.- amp.
distortion, compressors, enhancers= enhancing fx. also round here I'd put things that follow envelopes such as auto wahs, acoustic simulators and old fashioned octave pedals. You can put wah either side of a distortion but the more accepted way is just after it in the chain. At the end of these effects a noise suppressor/ gate would go as you probably don't want your modulators gated.
Wah, chorus, phaser, flanger= modulation. so is Delay but I tend to put it later, after an eq as I would rather not fuck with a delay or reverb box's algorhythms.
eq is typically last in the chain, as further along it is it should give you more more control. as above I usually have reverb and delay after eq though.
my current rig compressor- overdrive-enhancer- noise suppressor- tremolo- pitch shifter- chorus- delay- reverb.

Angelsound

Do I remember something bout his Taxi bills being diabolical, like 26,000 in one year just to take him round on Govt business?
Poor cheap cabs, how will they survive without Mr Hunt? Maybe the police will throw more work their way.
Thanks for the plug mr Foal. Will return the favour.
Equuslive, likewise haven't seen but wicked cd. Kick arse horn section, wicked rhythm section, guitar tone to die for (cool low mids) and excelent player to boot. Cool songs and eclectic. Ditto for Hardfill.
Duat is extremely catchy.
Exiter- Great songs, good musos, a great vibe when they play. You can't help but feel good.
Angelsound- Kick arse hard rock group. Great songs, great look. Should push the 'King Kong' song as a single in my humble opinion.
These Four Walls- High energy rock- A cool new spin on the whole Nu Metal thing.
Battle Circus- Wicked songs, great chops. coolest band site in NZ?
I dunno if she is still performing but Christine White would have to be one of the better singer- songwriters I've come across. Kinda cool how these little Paul Mcartney and Bob Dylan influences just jump out of certain songs.
Remote- Words can barely describe their beautifully orchestrated wall of sound.... so I'm not going to try.

Oops meant to put that on under the simon_ishtar identity as anything boneheaded I say shouldn't really be attributed back to Mel, Dave or Greg mistakenly.
Anyways the point of this is all bout the petrolheads and their yuppie neighbours. I say petrolheads are right on this one.
closed down is probably the wrong way to put it as it sounds like it was acted upon by some outside force. Karen Q Temple closed the place on her own accord didn't she?
They have had a mixture of good and bad bands play there over the years, just like any other bar.
Ishtar announcements for December.
Just finished three days recording at studio 203. More details later but have to say really happy with product and loved working with Andrew and Ben.
Gig at the rock bar, K road on 18th December. Also on the bill is Naquadah, Angelsound and puppet so four bands with female singers which all sound different to each other. I think it is $7 at the door but only $5 if you buy off one of the bands.
Ishtar are playing the Masonic this Christmas eve. Don't know yet who other bands are but would love to see lots of people there getting drunk and hiding out from that certain obnovious family member who only ever visits over christmas.
