If you ever move to Hawkes Bay (the great cultural vacuum) from CHCH as I did a thousand years ago -email me- I am keen to do some kind of something before my wheels all fall off. Liking Sufjan, Arcade Fire, Hold Steady, Okkervil River etc. etc (via the awesome vehicle of emusic.com which has saved my musical soul)- could be interested in a distant collaboration- ie via internet/email. I'm also a David- formerly siger/songwriter in a Wellington band, now retired to the country (Hastings, Hawkes Bay). My wife and I moved here to have dogs, babies, acres, and big garages. So far the score is 2:1:5:and 2 on those counts. I liked the first 90s of carousel, then it crashed my computer! Just putting out feelers for any interest in starting up an indie rock thing. I am rhythm guitar & vocalist (or vice versa) + lyrics. Current faves are The National, Eels, The Hold Steady, Arcade Fire, Sufjan Stevens, Okkervil River etc. No rush or drama, just for fun for now.
