I just checked our artist page and under our gigs we are listed as playing on the 24th Nov at the Dux de Lux in Christchurch. We are from Wellington and are definitely not playing in Christchurch this week and we did not post this in the gig guide. Can it please be removed and please can you let us know how this may have happened?

Thanks,

You were awesome at the Dukes of Leisure CD Release gig. I was planning to watch a couple of songs and go home to bed as I had work the next day but I just couldn't leave. Your set was completely awesome. I would even go so far as to use the word 'Bodacious'

Howdy Charlie Ash! Little did I know you are playing RIGHT THIS SECOND, or I'd ask in person. Have you an email address? We have heard super duper things about you and would love to investigate playing a show...

Our email is ricosuavelovesyou@hotmail.com

Rico Suavé will be playing at Bar Bodega tomorrow night (Wednesday 16th March) starting at 9pm.
Rico Suavé are a rock band who are impressing with their energetic live shows and strong songs. With a strong emphasis on dynamics, they can be playing gentle atmosperic one minute, and rocking you with a huge riff the next.
Support from Moonlight Flit (Brand new band) and a fantastic solo artist called Pixie, who has fantastic songs and a voice to die for.
Come check it out. Only $5 on the door.

I see, one of those friendly insults.

You missed the only the good thing about this years pathetic excuse for a carnival. If OdESSA hadn't been playing it wouldn't have even been worth putting on. Well maybe the parade was quite good but everything else was absolute rubbish.

Unfortunately you did miss one of OdeSSA's best sets of modern times.

I'm sorry but I'm not sure what you're on about but I hope that fagbucket wasn't directed at me. It doesn't sound like a very nice thing to say to someone.

We need a support band for our show at Bodega on Wednesday 16th of March. We would prefer someone not too rock, but anything will be considered. If you are interested please e-mail us on ricosuavelovesyou@hotmail.com.

Some bands just can't take a hint.

If what I've heard is anything to go by, these guys/(girl??) are going to be fantastic.
Their music will bring tears to your eyes as if you'd lost a loved one.

Rico Suave are a Wellington 3-piece. We just played our first gig but want to play more. We have some gigs confirmed but nothing until February. We really want to play a show in the second part of January so if anyone has a gig booked and they want a support band please let us know.

We are a rock band with quite a broad range. Most of the material is quite rocky, but some is light and some is very loud. We are an extremenly energetic live act and are passionate performers.
I hate to do this but it's the easiest way to get an idea of our sound:
Influences include REM, Smashing Pumpkins, Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, Coldplay, Shihad, Led Zeppelin.

Please let us know if you can help us out.

My favourite would have to be Trinity Roots' Home, Land and Sea, although it's a little sad to listen to at the moment, seeing as I can't get to any of the remaining shows so I'll never see them live again. Three times was not enough.

Other favourites for the year are
Goodshirt - Fiji Baby
Dimmer - You've Got To Hear The Music
Finn Brothers - Everyone Is Here

I'm pretty sure my favourite for next year will hands down be the debut album from OdESSA. A long time coming. My favourite NZ band EVER.

I'm really intrigued as to why they've decided to break up. I remember when the new album came out only a few months ago they were saying in interviews that they had a five-album plan and they seemed to know the direction they were heading in, were already writing new stuff etc.
I wonder what could have happened in that short space of time to make them come to this decision. Whatever the reasons, it's a damn shame, they were a fantastic band.
I hope that they release the dvd of the wellington town hall show still.
