Okay... Is anyone on this site actually *serious* about making music? I've had enough of doing the rounds looking for someone who can do more than write lyrics like "Roses are red, violets are blue, I can't sing, so f--- you too." I'm also fed up of the politics and navel-gazing that go into the initial formation of a band; been there, done that. I want to find a sound that I can believe in, that I can dedicate 100% of my efforts to. If you think this is you, then keep reading.
My credentials include working with Jahlicious (founding member), The Rawdevns (founding member), Kat Theo and Karen Hunter. I've passed my Diploma of Contemporary Music Performance at MAINZ, have a Bachelor of Music from Auckland Uni, and am currently working on my Honours year. My preferred style of music to play right now is loud, noisy and de-tuned several steps, but this is by no means the end of what I'm interested in... I guess I've just been angry and bored lately. :P
My main instruments is bass guitar, and I am a semi-capable vocalist if required. I have ample equipment on hand for both. Just, please, don't be lame! Having some recorded material (including demos) that I can take a listen to isn't a must, but it's certainly preferable. Reply back to this thread if interested with your e-mail, and I will contact you.
Cheers,
Acey

My credentials include working with Jahlicious (founding member) and Kat Theo, I've passed my Diploma of Contemporary Music Performance at MAINZ, and am on my third year of a Bachelor of Music at Auckland Uni. I'm a fan of virtually any kind of music, from the Black Eyed Peas to Arch Enemy to Delta Goodrem to Sigur Ros, and have done extensive work in electronic music, which has taught me a lot in the way of audio production.
My main instruments are bass guitar and electric guitar, but I'm also available for drum work or some vocal duties. I have ample equipment on hand for any of the above. Just, please, don't be lame! Having some recorded material (including demos) that I can take a listen to isn't a must, but it's certainly preferable. *raises hand*
Technically proficient, good gear, and absolutely bloody ITCHING to get out and play something.
E-mail please?
Hailing from Auckland's North Shore, the Rawdevns are a cutting-edge five-piece unit, fusing the sounds of Rancid and the Ramones with Guns-N-Roses and the Darkness into a twin guitar, proto-punk, crowd-rocking live show... That's missing its fifth piece. If you can sing, write songs and rock crowds all night long, we want to hear from you. We have an EP's worth of material already fully written, with several more songs just needing words. We hope to be recording and releasing material later this year, so professionalism and previous band experience are an absolute must. Owning your own PA and mic is preferable but not essential.
E-mail Alex at alex.rossiter@gmail.com for more details. Beginners, flakes and hopefuls need not apply.
