ok dude, my point was that there are many who do it, not to make a difference, but BECAUSE its a trend. And thats what pisses myself and others off.
You say that as soon as you start defining some as being punk, you get into a horrible elitist clique full of people constantly trying to one-up each other. But you've always thought Frenzal Rhomb were punk. What makes you think that? Just a matter of interest, because if one can hardly define the scene, how are we to know what music falls under that catagory?
And you not liking Aus Rotten is fine by me. I think their good.
i dont think punk is something you can claim to be, its more like an unconscience way of living. Who said Frenzal Rhom were punk anyway? People say blink182 are punk for gawds sake!! Go listen to some Oi Polloi. Or Crass. Or Aus Rotten.

yeah, your right euphoria, i know alot of people who think their so punk because they stuck a safety pin on their tshirt (yeah. right), and go on about how their so punk when they dont even know the beliefs, they dont give a damn about GE or vivisection, yet they say their the ones out there making a difference? Its just a passing trend for them and it gives those who do believe in making a difference a bad name.

today i saw this little group of girls walking around westcity, one in white pants and another in a tshirt that had a horse on the front and said 'want to ride me?' they only looked about 8 or 9.. and in pumpkin patch, they've made tiny leather jackets and pants.. its disturbing.
yes, and the "trend" with the american flag and union jack. Sorry but i dont see the point in wearing it if your not associated with the country.
