Jlaz : 10 May 2005 - 2:26pm

Dan, I totally agree with your viewpoint. I think the best way for girls to sort out their problems would be in an oil/jelly wrestling contest. :-p
I remember back in the day at school...Those school yard fights between the Arabs and everyone else, and the odd little wanker who thought he was all that till someone threw him through a window.

Jlaz : 4 May 2005 - 10:13am

Mine is a sky blue :-) It always brings a smile to my day

Jlaz : 4 May 2005 - 10:11am

As I look to todays play, there is a little hint of a sri lankan win in the air. If they take some early wickets and a score around 200 to chance in 40-50 overs, I think they could pull it off.

Jlaz : 6 April 2005 - 11:05pm

I dont know, he's pretty quick and bowls a pretty sweet inswinging yorker

Jlaz : 6 April 2005 - 8:10pm

*is

Jlaz : 6 April 2005 - 8:10pm

This there a chance of NZ winning this test???
they have just taken 6 wickets for 100 runs and have a 68 run lead.
is this a possiblity

Jlaz : 6 April 2005 - 8:01pm

sorry :-(

Jlaz : 6 April 2005 - 8:00pm

Sure Akhtar is a show pony, but is there anyone in the world bowling at his pace? The world 11 needs sum express pace and bounce

Jlaz : 6 April 2005 - 7:42pm

lol, thats all you need these days

Jlaz : 6 April 2005 - 6:40pm

So...On a total recap of this thread, NZ cricket should enter a team into the australian pura cup. Not a province but a warriors outfit. Who would coach?? Who could you see being in that team, should some black caps be allowed or should it be purely development choosing players from our state shield. Where could they be based and what could they be called?

Jlaz : 6 April 2005 - 5:32pm

// surely it would be better to make the other lesser players around them stand up and perform better wouldnt that be the way??

Is it working??? I dont think so
at the moment Sri Lanka are pasting NZ bowlers round the field. They may get 3 century makers!!!

Jlaz : 6 April 2005 - 5:27pm

// but i guess one code out of 3 showing some kind of improvement its good aye ????
next thing you know we will have aussies teams in our NPC

Didnt they think of doing that once upon a time???
Also the advent of Super 12 helped ozzy rugby!!!

Jlaz : 6 April 2005 - 5:05pm

Thats exactly the point. Hasnt rugby league improved since the warriors???
So will NZ cricket
Good going Noizy

Jlaz : 6 April 2005 - 4:59pm

kallis, sehwag, lara

Jlaz : 6 April 2005 - 4:18pm

Why do our players have such injury problems??
It is quiet remarkable, where who have McGrath and warne, who have been around for a while, have not had a serious (career ending) injury???

Jlaz : 5 April 2005 - 8:04pm

we have nz A but the problem is that they play once every 10 years!!!!

Jlaz : 5 April 2005 - 7:46pm

We need players to be ozzy learning and playing against the champs
Perhaps not have a warriors team as such. Maybe new zealand 'A', and use the State shield as development.

Jlaz : 5 April 2005 - 7:42pm

I think that the reason for Vettori is that he can bat (opens for ND) and that the ozzies dont like him and has the best record for a spinner on Australian soil.
Hinds has recently scored 180 odd against the South Africans and looked quiet impressive. I agree Dravid may not be fit enough for tests but definetly for one dayers.
This is my team:
1. Sehwag (Agressive and can bowl a few overs here and there)
2. Tendular (Captain) (one of the best players ever)
3. Lara (You just have to have him)
4. Kallis (Worlds best batsmen and a decent bowler)
5. Sangakarra (Keeper) (decent batsmen/keeper)
6. Flintoff ( great all rounder
7. Pollock (VC) (Great all rounder)
8.Vettori (best figures in oz)
10. Aktar (av. 24 in odi's) and this team needs express pace
11. Ntini (good strike rate)
12. Murili (if its a turing track)

Geez.. i was pretty upset to see Daniel anderson leave the Warriors. It wasn't entirely his fault that they have had a shocker of a season. I feel that its becasue we lost 'old heads' like Kevin Campion and Ivan Cleary two years ago and theres to much pressure on Stacey.

There is a rumour floating around that Chris Anderson (no relation), former Australian national League coach, might be taking over next year.

My advice, when the player markets open at the end of this month, the Warriors should look to get players like the Campions , Jones and the Cleary's just to help staedy the ship.
