Jay Rodeo : 10 October 2004 - 4:18pm

Just thought I’d let everyone in the Welly area know of this fundraiser gig coming up for a new independent Wellington horror film 'Flatmates Wanted', which has been accepted into a festival in New York. The show is being put on to raise funds for the makers to travel in November for the screening, so come along and support the local film-making and music scene:

Thursday October 14th at The Cross Bar - with bands:

NOUVEAU RICHE

WOEBEGONE

TAPEMAN

BLUNDERBUSS

$7 at the door - Starts around 10.00

Below is a little blurb about the movie from the Dominion Post. - Cheers

Flatmates Wanted is being billed as the biggest world premier at The Embassy this year and on top of that you’ll be doing a good deed going along by supporting local film-makers at the same time.
Flatmates Wanted is a psychological horror film shot on location in Wellington for a total budget of $1500 with approximately 217 favours. The shoot took a total of 19 days and used a three man crew. As with most low budget local features, the project required a lot of Kiwi ingenuity.
Most importantly the film has been accepted into the 2004 New York International Independent Film and Video Festival, the largest in the world of its kind, which will take place in November. To raise funds to get there a special midnight screening is happening on Saturday October 16. Tickets are $15, $25 for a premium seat, and can be purchased at the Embassy Box Office.

We may require an incentive of some kind... fish and/or chips and pumpkin soup.

Jay Rodeo : 16 June 2004 - 2:44am

If you don't like hip hop don't listen to it. And if you really mean it don't listen to Shitknot.

Jay Rodeo : 16 June 2004 - 2:29am

We haven't jammed for a while, but we're all working on other musical projects. We'll probably play a couple more shows when someone can be bothered to organise it. We're all just a bit slack on it at the moment.

Jay Rodeo : 9 June 2004 - 2:39am

Nah, I play drums. Played piano as a kid but all I can remember now is twinkle twinkle.
Sorry can't be of more help dude, good luck though. Good to see the Kyuss legend alive and well!~

Jay Rodeo : 7 June 2004 - 8:32pm

Jay Rodeo : 7 June 2004 - 7:25pm

Just kill everyone who makes, stars in, approves of and endorses reality TV. In the most gruesome and violent way possible.
Then play it on tv.
I might even watch it then

Jay Rodeo : 7 June 2004 - 7:12pm

It's only the extremely rare occasion such as this that I wish I had TV.

Jay Rodeo : 7 June 2004 - 7:02pm

Do you play any Kyuss?

Jay Rodeo : 7 June 2004 - 6:44pm

I seriously hope this is one of your lame jokes...

Jay Rodeo : 2 June 2004 - 3:41pm

Do you play bass and/or guitar? (Looking for both now goddamit)

Jay Rodeo : 25 May 2004 - 9:30pm

Who's the band making the video and where are you filming it?

Jay Rodeo : 25 May 2004 - 9:16pm

Its always cold & raining when we play too unfortunately. The gods must look upon us unfavourably.
Still a good turnout on Saturday though. Cheers for the gig guys. TOTAL CONTROOOOOLLLL!!!!

Jay Rodeo : 25 May 2004 - 9:10pm

Jay Rodeo : 26 April 2004 - 4:08pm

Just getting the songs recorded can be painful - you also learn to hate everyone else in your band too!
It's ok though, we're recording at our bassists residence, drums in one room, guitar in the hallway, bass in another room...
Just a slow painful process.

Jay Rodeo : 26 April 2004 - 4:02pm

We're still playing eastside as far as I know, Gareth will let us all know in good time.
He's gonna talk to dusty too I think.
