This weekend we're playing shows in the Naki (Fri) and Wgtn (Sat) with Auckland bands Tourist and The Septembers.
Tourist have recently returned from recording their debut album in the UK and are on tour to support their new single 'Did You Kill Your Love'. They promise to unleash their 'infectious melodic subtleties and stadium-ready anthems' on all punters that cross their path. Expect big things from these fellas and listen out for their new single on the airwaves. http://www.touristsound.com/.
With a few new songs canvassing tales of loss, flaws and undercover spys, Stingfish are itching to get back on stage. The rock will flow as fast as the alcohol on what should be a fine evening out for any rock fan.

Down On The Street EP Review
by REAL GROOVE Mag August '05
"Welcome to another month in Noisyland, if the cold and grim (and perhaps even evil) winter is getting the country down it's not immediately apparent in the optimistic and zealous debut EP by Wellingtonians Stingfish. Stingfish's self-released Down On The Street five-tracker contains the sort of rock 'n' roll that makes you want to get up and off your lazy ass for fear of letting life pass by for even a second. They have a sound that finds its feet firmly in the kiwi rock bracket, think Weta and the more direct moments of Cassette even - never a bad thing, keeping it simple and such."
