I'm sure that they are still looking for bands...they haven't said who is doing it, so until then i think they are still open to getting the right band.

but what would i know...i just go to school...i'm still interested in seeing who everyone thinks sould do the tour. I want the fast crew to do it, even tho someone said they can't. they would be my dream group to do it.

I have heard that the organisers of the Boost Mobile NZ Schools Tour are looking for bands to do the tour in 2005. Has anyone got any ideas? This will be my last Schools Tour this year as i'll be leaving school at the end of the year.

I understand that the tour aims to take young untapped tallent on the road - so i guess that means not big bands. But it means bands that have done something (like have a song on tv/radio), that are liked, and have tallent.

Come on everyone - lets give the organisers ideas. That way we get what we want and will truly enjoy the touring group (as we have the past 3 years!). It would be cool if there was a good girl band.

I'd love to see (for ideas) - Fast Crew, or 48may, or Falter, or Incursa, or ............................

The tour is run by a event management company - NZ Schools Tour. It is owned by a guy called Matt Ealand. I totally agree it is a great concept.

Has the tour been to your school?

Check out there website it is very cool.

Hey Goodnight Nurse come to my school and they rocked!!!!!!! I loved it. Thats three great bands in three years on the schools tour - Steriogram, Wash, and now goodnight nurse.

When the schools tour comes to your school make sure you check out goodnight nurse.

The other wicked thing is that on the schools tour site (which looks like it is updated daily!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so many pictures and a video section!!!) is that you can request the tour to come to your school.

check out the website - i'm a big fan.

Thanks for a wicked day

hotgossip - can you tell us alittle about your self? I think you might be telling a wee lie about this tour. There are so many wannabes in this country and esp. the music industry. How do you have the chance to work with this band? what else has your company done? how long have you been in the music industry?

I want to belive you, but I'm finding it had too. as the music scene gets bigger here so many new players are jumping on the band wagon (no pun intended). I've meet so many people lately that think they are promoters, mangaers, record labels. It is not good for our music scene when all these little players keep coming on board trying to grab a bit of the lime light. It is doing more damage than good.

By you offering a chance to play is great and even the band paying their own way is fine (because that is how it works in NZ) and will be of great benefit to who ever.

but I think you don't have any chance of working with AAF and i think what you are really doing is trying to get young bands to send you their stuff so you can try and work with them, manage them, promote them. Thius would be ok - but you are just doing it to try and become a big shot manger!

prove me wrong - i hope you can

I want nz music to grow

I had not seen the band WASH till this year - and now i wish i had seen them way earlier. They RULE!!!

They played at our school, i went to their final gig (which was amazing!!! - one of the best all age shows i have ever been to)

I hear they are playing on friday nite at the control room!!!!

They are in my mind one of NZ top acts and prob have the the greatest live show in nz at the mo - i guess 4 months on the road helps there.

i say support them - check out their new website its very cool
