I actually thought the bleeders rocked and the sound was pretty good. I heard plenty worse as the day went on..
Can you not read Chickadee, the reason is not the amount of people that can go to the gig but the size of the rig they have... I dont think they are expecting 30000 people, they just can't get there rig into our venues.... I will also put my hand up for wanting to listen to Radiohead, I think they are amazing and there new stuff maybe different but its smart and seems to incaptulate where maybe they are at musically?.... All this bitching about, the old stuff is better, is starting to sound like a Shihad/Pacifier site... Get over it.....
Nice call Elliot, I agree a great album that ooozes atmosphere, space and fantastic hooks.
Much love, eight.....
bout freakin time.... stoked to hear that it is finally here...
get out all and support some great kiwi music... I'll be getting my copy..
Yeah i saw the bleeders and i thought they were fantastic. they put on a great show and for apparently having little experience on a big stage i thought they played it well... A definate highlight for me
The Bleeders - wicked, they rocked hard, sounded great, and it was a nice way to start the day.
The Coolies - didnt last too long there
Shapeshifter - unbelievable, definately one of the highlights
The darkness - average, good (i guess)at what they do, wouldnt buy the album tho.
The D4 - pretty good, sound was average tho.
Black Eyed Peas - Great stage presence and the sound from where I was, was great.
Concord Dawn - Phat and Heavy but boring stage show
Kings of Leon - below average
Dandy Warhols - Boring as hell, needed drugs to enjoy.
Mint Chicks - First time viewer and thought they were pretty cool.
The Datsuns - pretty average really, little dissappointed.
Muse - Good
Mars Volta - Amazing, and probably the highlight.
Poison the Well - OK
Betchadupa - not a hugh fan of their stuff, but I thought there sound was amazing.
Scribe - Boring except for the last two songs
Flaming Lips - Just caught the end of their set, gutted I missed the majority of it.
Overall. I enjoyed listening to bands I haven't listened to much b4, was a good day out..
some people really cant take a harmless comment to heart, can they....
chill......
I think yet again there will be 12 months in the year, four seasons, plenty of rain and shine.. this time tho there will be 366 days and christmas will be 25 December 2004 (you can quote me on that)..
hows about:

I'd recommend Ben King, Pluto, Gramsci and for something a little different, The Bleeders.
there's the beaches gigs between christmas and new years with Goldenhorse, Zed, Nesian Mystic, The WBC and Augustino....... if that moves ya...
Are you both serious. I thought that the show was terrible, it wasn't funny, looked amateurish, the questions were stupid... and it seemed like they were trying too hard to be funny... If i had invested money in that show I would have been gutted after watching it last night, and probably would have seen to it that the Producer was sacked.... A heap of SHIT!!!!
