I thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed myself...i'll have a huge rant about it at a later date.
Highlights were the beautiful Kasabian, Little Birdie :) and Muse (although quite disappointed with the turnout for Muse). I found it absolutely hillarious that everyone left after the Tutts played K :P :P
But what the eff was with the sound during Muse and The Killers? Was it just me or was it changing key wonkily? Terrible!
This is extremely reminiscent of BEBO... as in "hip hop rules" "no it doesn't shut up"...(repeat infinitely).
Everyone knows techno owns.
I kid. There's no comparison.

ummm, i seriously doubt that BDO will use a marketting ploy. from my memory (although it's bad at times), BDO wasn't sold out last year. and errr...i dunno...they were expecting a repeat or something? meh. but who really cares...more people...more fun!
oh and i'm wondering if emos actually DO mosh. i just can't picture it.... :P
And I wouldn't mind Modes Mouse either...seems to be a popular choice...how many till we reach 50 hmmmm?

no...the asian guy wearing shorts...i stayed away from the tallish chubby guy after i saw him buying 20 of those shirts.

This was my first Big Day Out ever and it made a pretty good impression...

I spent way way too much on merchandise ie, my "Vote for Pedro" shirt that everyone was like "Dude I LOVE YOUR SHIRT OMG OMG OMG!" to...
Anyway, being a BDO virgin, i didn't know what to expect really and only managed to watch four bands in the mosh pits.
I caught a glimpse of Gerling, pretty nifty, as well as the F#cked computer thing, I might even buy an album.
Firstly, Pluto. Didn't expect much because I only knew two of their songs but they were brilliant...to me anyway. The clapping in Dance Stamina was sexy, specially up front and center where I was. I was stupid enough though to bring a huge camping bag and flip flops to this...lucky i brought my chuxs(?). The initial shock of moshing faded and i stopped crying for mommy. That babababa song, i forget, was pretty cool too. I ended up buying their album at the sounds tent and getting it signed.
After that, I went from band to band to band like a hermit. Took me ages to realise they had a signing tent. I also ended up buying a Kings of Leon CD to get signed. While I was waiting in the signing line for Kings of Leon...like a 12 year old teeny bopper...I caught glimpses of The Magic Numbers, quite pleasant actually if not a little christiany.
Leaving the tent after my embarassing signing (seeing as I didn't know who the lead singer was, besides the fact that I've memorised all their songs...) I got bombarded by a hundred midgets screaming at me because I got it signed and they were cut off. Sucks to be them.
Waited for hours to get money out of the eftpos stall thing. Was almost late for Kings of Leon until I saw some tall guy just streaming in so i just followed him and wham, got front center again.
Kings of Leon were freakishly still but still enjoyable. King of the Rodeo and Molly's Chambers were pretty spanky and Taper Jean girls was pretty good too...
Later, Franz Ferdinand was discreetly polite moshing. I mean, I had no feelings of being crushed in this one. I didn't even almost fall over once. Front Center again, freaking out because I have no idea how i got there. Wasn't much of a fan but enjoyed it nonetheless.
Later later, White Stripes were like a total contrast. Into the first song, six girls around me fainted. Yep, front center again. I started cursing silently to every 4 foot girl around me trying to handle...they simply couldn't. When the guy in front of me started bleeding and some lady was vomiting on people, i decided to drift back a bit...and plus My legs hurt and stuff. I wasn't alone in the decision as I hear a resounding "fuc# this" and i enjoyed the rest further back but still pretty close. The Encore was in fact nice. I wouldn't remember though, I was in a weird daze.
Couldn't be stuffed watching Fat Freddy's so i went home.
I wish I watched the Go! Team...and even Sleater Kinney. Ah well.
All in all, enjoyable. Loved it. Going again next year, no matter who's playing. :)

BAND: Libertines, just because. Oh wait no Coldplay coz i'ts good for lonely. Nah wait the Libertines. Watever. Libertines. I changed my mind. I could listen to Trouble on repeat for eternity. I tried once but my iriver ran out of battery. So then I listened to the Libertines on my walkman.
SOLO: Is just tricky. Not because there's too many, it's coz there's not alot you want to be listenin to for too long. How about...Frank Sinatra. I'll go with him. He does depression.
This situation would scare me. The rest of time. Creepy.

I'm going to buy a mic for live use and genre is varied and I have no idea how to chose one, just use whatever's around but I just recently persuaded mah daaaaddy to invest in a good quality one, which is what exactly? ($200 max) :S
