Hey, I have worn my jeans too tight and I have flailed my fists and kicked that air at too many shows for someone to tell me that I am not emo. Thank you very much.

Flaherty : 2 November 2005 - 10:46pm

11? Something like that. Music sounds better loud. Noone can deny that. Na bol, I am in a maintained habit of not putting the volume above half. I dont wanna fuck my ears.

Flaherty : 31 October 2005 - 1:16pm

All you need for that on-the-go lifestyle.

//ot an iPod i chuck any old headphone into, my mates have iPods and have never encountered this

Man your lucky ilovetheclean. So are all of you out there with functional iPods. Swap?

Yea it looks like I might just have to force my iPod back apon Bond and Bond and make them swap it, and see if it happens with a new one.

Flaherty : 30 October 2005 - 8:25pm

noizyboy: great link. damn funny.

limegreen: not a bad idea, if not a last resort one. Im not very good with the solder you see.

dantheman: That is true, compatible headphones are better than no headphones at all. //I think you are using the wrong phones - yea I thought so, but I tried with 3 different pairs. weird. It does work sweet with the normal headphones, so maybe it is a problem with the iPod. As I said, I know a few people with this problem. My flatmate has the same issue. I have actually taken my iPod back to the shop and asked them about it. They didnt do shit. Maybe ill just go in with arms flailing and voice all loud and irritated.

Flaherty : 30 October 2005 - 4:46pm

The provided iPod headphones are pretty average compared to muff headphones, let alone the damage they do to you ears. I thought most headphones would fit iPods as well, but ive tried three different muff headphones and the problem still occurs with each pair. I guess it is a good marketing plan; construct the iPods so only those oh-so-recognisable iPod headphones will work. Oh how we are suckers.

Flaherty : 30 October 2005 - 4:42pm

I took it back a while ago... they just reset it and gave it back to me.

Flaherty : 30 October 2005 - 12:52pm

Yea I was wondering if there was a more permanent solution, rather than taping my iPod. Ill try anything tho, its is so damn annoying! Yea those buds damage your ears, mine end up hurting after an hour or so of listening through them. God bless muffs! (ha.)

Flaherty : 29 October 2005 - 8:01pm

Im having problems using my iPod with non-iPod headphones. When I am moving around with the headphones in, my iPod keeps randomly pausing. Ive done a bit of research on the net and theres not heaps about this problem out there, even though quite a few friends have the same issue. However, some people have suggested putting tape over the headphone socket in the iPod and pushing the headphone end through. Apparently the problem is the metal ring arounds the plug of the headphone jack, and doing this stops the ring touching the metal of the iPod which causes a short.

Has anyone out there got the same problem? If so, what have you done about it? Has it worked?

If there is already a forum on this problem Im sorry, I havent read it, can somebody please direct me to it?

Cheers

This has gotta be a joke.

Flaherty : 26 October 2005 - 1:41pm

Its usually pretty expensive to get a screenprinter to print shirts, from the places Ive checked out it costs around $70 for one (depending on the amount of colour), $60 each for 2, etc... The way Ive done it (and would reccommend) is to buy a screenprinting screen yourself. It costs about $100-$120 all up (for a sceen and a squeegy [the thing that spreads the paint]) and you can mke as many as you want. It works real well, Ive done quite a few and have ben really stoked at the way theyve come out. You can check out my shirts under the clothing section of a site Ive done:

Hope this helps somewhat

Sounds like a bloody good party tho.

Flaherty : 10 October 2005 - 11:14pm

I reckon theres some bloody good music out there that you wouldnt even know is christian until you researched the band a bit. Emery, Further Seems Forever, both incredible bands with christian members and songs that deal with god etc..... but youd have no idea (well, I didnt) until you delve a little deeper into the lyrics and band bio, etc

Flaherty : 9 October 2005 - 4:04pm

Blink, just out of interest, how did you hook up a photographer spot at BDO? You look pretty official in that vest... I might be interested...

Flaherty : 4 October 2005 - 11:23pm

Does anyone know when the second announcement will be up?

Flaherty : 4 October 2005 - 4:40pm

AFI? TMV? Am I dreaming? god, my heart is skipping all sorts of beats.

Flaherty : 15 September 2005 - 9:19pm

Can someone help me? Im inept at this stuff, and I was wondering if, when you come back from an OE or whatever, your loan stops incurring interest from that point, or does the intrest-free bait only apply if you remain in NZ after you graduate and not go overseas at all?

Flaherty : 11 June 2005 - 6:43pm

Has anyone else seen these guys? Holy shit....
Not often I get such a big smile on my face seeing a band for the first time, but I was grinning stupidly seeing these guys.
A perfect mix of fast punk with breakdowns (reminiscent of old school poison the well).
killer live show too, they know how to instigate a pit...
If you get a chance, go catch them live.

As far as Im aware, he was a live edition to the band, he played a patented machine that connected to everyones instruments and he could control the music and visual output (a huge part of their live performance). He based the light show on the tone and pitch of the music being played (kinda like a mood projector). Sounds like a pretty weird machine. Then again, I probably dreamed all of this. I would have thought jimmy would know more than me about his new favourite band.

Flaherty : 8 May 2005 - 3:43am

Yea, I can imagine how annoying it is, everyone on nzm thinks your so cool, and I know your not really....

Flaherty : 4 May 2005 - 2:52am

Flaherty : 2 May 2005 - 1:21am
