Big question mark here.

I know what New Zealand needs:

Dear I show my face in this thread again??

OK, maybe I was a bit too pessimistic in the last post(s) (It happens after a shit day) I do like alot of new music, but what I was sort of getting at was, mainstream music. Those bands I listed were mainstream and the biggest artists in the 60s-80s. Now what you've got is the likes of Nelly, 50 Cent and the like as the biggest artists around.

anavriN : 30 June 2005 - 2:44am

Bring back rock and roll. None (and I mean none) of the artists and bands out today stack up to the likes of Rolling Stones, Three Dog Night, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, CCR, BTO, Zeppelin, The Who, Tom Petty, Van Halen, Def Leppard, The Beatles... what the fuk happened to music?

Music died 15 years ago.

anavriN : 30 June 2005 - 2:42am

Hes a fukking puppet.

anavriN : 30 June 2005 - 2:39am

Hip hop and rap is not music, but mindless talking some fukt up language into a microphone. I can do better than most of these so called "musicians"... and BTW: heres the definition of musician:

someone who plays a musical instrument (as a profession)

Therefore, a rapper is NOT a musician. End of fuking story!

anavriN : 30 June 2005 - 2:37am

Scribes a phony. Nuff Said.

anavriN : 28 June 2005 - 2:47am

//I'm of 2 minds on the mini skirts - on one hand they make going to get my coffee every morning in 277 a more eye goggling (and pants bulging?) experience than watching hip-hop videos, and on the other hand during school holidays you don't know where to look cos shes probably 13, it looks more like a belt than a skirt and she should need a license to wear that thing.

But to quote this guy, I have to agree.

anavriN : 28 June 2005 - 2:46am

//id go one step further, ban mini skirts from malls too

What? A young, single male wants to ban mini-skirts? You're not gay are you?

anavriN : 19 June 2005 - 12:50am

It's a prooven fact that NZ hip hop sucks.

anavriN : 19 June 2005 - 12:49am

...I slept until 1pm and pretty much did nothing since then.

Sunday's rock!

anavriN : 19 June 2005 - 12:43am

//the fact you need to get a petition signed for a christchurch community music radio station to have more local christchurch content doens't strike you as nuts?

Indeed.

anavriN : 19 June 2005 - 12:42am

I agree. NZ music needs the international stuff for it to survive. After listening to Kiwi, it's easy to see just how bad alot of NZ Music really is. (of course theres tons of good NZ bands out there, most of whom don't get played on Kiwi or any other station)

anavriN : 17 June 2005 - 5:46am

//u r probz a fukin fat shit dnt b h8tin over mareko just cause he is on tv and yo nt so shut da fuk up and watch wat u fukin say !!!!!
mareko is da hottest in da world and da bestest rapper in da muther fukin world niggah!!

Well aren't you an intelligent individual then? Would you like to take a course in english, looks like you need it.

anavriN : 28 April 2005 - 5:46am

But I think if they were to start up an Alternative Rock station like Z, it would seem wise to give it a new name. It's obvious Z was dying.

anavriN : 28 April 2005 - 5:43am

Yes, it's time to give Kiwi (or MaiFM: Kiwi Style) the boot. The presenters are lame (Karyn in the morning, the drive people, the night guy) the prizes suck (Fish N Chip Friday? WTF?!?) the new shows suck (aside from independant - sunday 5pm) and the music is very repetitive. And as much as I hated him, bring back Bomber. (Can't beleive I said that...)

anavriN : 13 February 2005 - 11:59pm

Not bad... but then again I wasn't expecting a (commercial) station to play alot of indie/unsigned bands and artists.

anavriN : 13 February 2005 - 11:54pm

no

anavriN : 5 October 2004 - 11:29pm

anavriN : 5 October 2004 - 11:23pm
